Durgi, I've attended every single one of Albion's Excalibur defences and I've *never* heard anyone instructed to get their lowbie ass into the place to crash the server ... don't slam us just 'cos we take defence seriously.

Am just going on what I was told by one of SoTL's members (no names to protect Mr X from such *lovely* comments also). I have it on good authority that you intended to raid Odin's Gate 7am one weekend morning, only to find that that they were doing it to us -- so rushed to the defence instead.

Perhaps it's because you and many of your guildmates feel free to be so rude and unpleasant to the rest of Albion that you are held in such high esteem

It's the same thing after every relic-raid. Why not just congratulate middies on the successful raid and go plan a counter-raid instead. This whining is getting nowhere.

Albs raid at non prime hours, middies raid at non prime hours and hibbies raid at non prime hours. A raid at primetime will not work anyway, and most people know this (except the few still complaining here).

About this raid

When we started doing this raid our ultimate purpose was to take it but we did not expect it to succeed.

With the amount of people that participated which was around 25-30 (and quite a few was below lvl 40) our expectatioins to the raid was not to get this relic. Very few believed this was the raid that would give us the relic. Our purpose became doing as much damage as possible.

Then we started bashing the doors and with much more success that anticipated. We succeeded bashing down both outer doors before we got killed by the guards spawns.

This was what everyone considered a huge success. Now it was clear to everyone that we could do it and we decided to go back to finish it.

Have just one defender seen us and warned his realm mates this raid would not have ended up with the relic "back where it belongs".

10 albs could have stopped us. So shall we stop the discussion about when raids are supposed to be happening and stop judging the entire Midgaard based on Kelmon's post which he later realized was unjustified?

And well yes, I am being rude and unpleasant after me and other people tried to show that this isn't about the time (We did it ourselves remember? So we're in no position to whine about it), but about the hypocrisy (even in the thread's title fgs) several times, and still people just hop in and say 'zzz, don't whine about the time, everyone does it blabla'.

Tried to be nice, but then someone pops in again, doesn't bother to read everything, and decides to post something asuming it's about whining again or just to point out his anti-SotL feelings.

Can't remember when we have ever insulted or been unpleasant to other guilds. Please feel free to post instances where SotL have screwed you over.

To say that the majority of us are 'rude and unpleasant to the rest of Albion' kinda shows how little you truly know. Try basing things on your own experiences rather than allowing those individuals with a bad case of 'penis envy' to colour your way of thinking.

Yeh, I havn't been playing for a month or so but I've been following the relic-changes from this forum - and what I meant was that if you do a relic-raid on primetime you are most likely to get a crashed zone and lots of angry players complaining about the crappy game-engine.

Maybe it can be done, but it's not the best tactic thats for sure

I've had very little contact with any of SoTL, apart from friends who have joined/left you over the past few months. I am very new to DaOC and my experience of the game is limited.

But what I have experienced is people in hunting groups clapping and cheering when they hear your boys being wiped out, or heard their stories of arrogant or abhorrent behaviour.

Even if I had experienced some nasty event in the past I'd not put it here 'cos, as Layl says, it would serve only to upset people.

As for myself, Layl will tell you how my group crossed the Pennines to rez her a couple of weeks ago - and I went out of my way last night to rez a young scout of yours last night who had been Telamoned to death.

What a fun, same discussion is going on at the excalibur forums. But there it is us middies who've taken the hib and alb strength relic on saturday and sunday prime time. Last wednesday the Albs did a relic raid late at night (cet 1:00 - 2:30).

So it seems like we should switch the alb populations from excalibur and prydwen since hibs and mids on Excalibur like primetime
