The Hurling Tournament started 7.45 BST (15 minutes late).

It was a hard struggle, the first fight against 'Humberton Guard', but as the first half proceeded 'Herfølge Boldklub' became aggressive - VERY agressive.
First half ended 5-0
Second half started out as a big surprise for all, it took 5 seconds for someone to realize that the game had started. 'Humberton Guard' was prepared. First minutes of Second-half, 'Humberton Guard' had fresh blood in their vains, the water from the nearby well must have strenghtend them.
Second-half ended 8-2 in favor of 'Herfølge Boldklub'.

Second match was against 'The Random Yellow Team' were the first half was rather dull to the spectators, the teams were struggling at their very last breath to keep up at pace with the pig.
First half ended 2-1 in favor of 'Herfølge Boldklub'
Do I even dare mention Second-half? ... Dep should be sold to the nearest Pig-farm, such a bad goalie, even I scored 3 times on ya, and I was HB goalie ! :p
Game ended 8-1 ... yet again in favor of 'Herfølge Boldklub'.

'Humberton' and 'The Random Yellow Team' played for 2nd & 3rd place, this match was heavy, and with loads of bashing around with the poor defenseless pig.
First-half ended 5-1 in favor of 'Humberton Guard'.
Second-half was equally exciting, 'The Random Yellow Team' fought one heck of a fight, but as the score was revealed, 'Humberton Guard' came out of the game as winners.
Game ended 5-2 in favor of 'Humberton Guard'.

Which means that Herfølge Boldklub will now be bragging loudly from the Valleys of the South Black Mountains to the outskirts of Lyonesse, aswell in the dangerous frontiers of Emain and Odins.

Cheers to all opponents and fellow guildies that joined this new and exciting game.

A Special Thanks to our Guide/Referee/fearsome judge, Captain Iako.

for the second place playoff it was 5-1 first half and then _additional_ 5-2 second half ;)

final score 10-3 to HG..

The fact that Captain Iako had placed bets on the HG team winning (against Dep on the Yellow team) had no effect whatsoever on the progress of the match (though the smell of bacon from the pub in ludlow situated behind the Humberton goalposts might have...)

Was good fun and a good tourney - wait till next time HB, next time!

The main problem with any GoA event is nobody can be bothered to download the 500Mb flash website everyday just to check. Only time everyone goes to that site is when the servers go down and then the website usually goes tits up.

An option to just have plain html pages for the news would be nice.

33.6k modem or what ? If you're going to play internet games get yourself a decent connection or don't bother imo. I don't even wanna imagine what the telephone bill is on analog modem play :eek6:
