errr. Why? It's not as if the fish are harmed, not by anglers who know what they are doing anyway.

Pest control is required, as is controlling the quantity. There's a reason.

Raven; there's still draggin them out of their breathing habitat with a hook in their face for no reason.

I like shooting pigeons and I like eating them. I am a dichotomy.

No, i got bored of word twisting.

It's a personal opinion on the matter of hunting(etc).

Smiling has nothing to do with it, nor does any other facial arrangement.

can't see the attraction in it persoanlly but each to their own, it's legal, it's controlled and it's genrateing money to save endangered species..... so i also can't see the problem.

"There will always be emotion from people who are not hunters when they see dead animals, but these are very regulated practises. Rhino and other animals have been saved through conservation and the most money for conservation is generated from hunting."

I'm not a great fan of hunting just for the fun of it....but

It's private land
They know how many giraffe on their property.
They know how many giraffe the land can cope with.

They kill/get someone to pay them to kill the surplus.

No real harm done as such. I guess they could transport them to where there are shortages but that costs money isnt at all practical and the giraffe may well die in the process.

If they need to be killed for population control then have a professional do it so its one shot to the head and game over. Letting weekend warriors try could mean the poor thing being shot multiple times which is not right for me. Unless the ranger puts the animal out of its misery as soon as the tourist has shot it then the way its being killed could be cruel.

I know someone who stopped taking people hunting for that very reason. After spending a good part of a weekend tracking a badly shot deer, to find it with its jaw hanging off because some dickhead couldn't be arsed to wait for the right shot.

Proper hunters work on a one shot kill policy.

Unlikely though that weekend warriors would be prepared to pay that much money though, the few people I've spoke to (online) who've done this are very serious people indeed.

You wouldn't go for a head shot on a Giraffe. You'd go for a just behind the shoulder shot to take out Heart and Lungs with a heavy bullet. The shockwave would kill the animal very quickly.

Just saying.

Is giraffe tasty?

Will the depths of your depravity ever be reached!!?!?

I have no idea, deer and horsemeat is. They're just long necked horses aren't they?

Horses are odd-toed ungulates. Giraffes are even-toed ungulates like sheep, goats, cattle and deer. So no, not horsey really, more deery, or cowie.

Anyway, eating animals isn't depraved. If I'd asked how moist they are and how moody they get when disturbed from behind, that would be different.

And that's why I would never try to shoot one :)

Met them in Canada, some Germans in the bar showing people pictures of a Ram, which is a course a sheep, thay they had shot, while it was grazing with a high powered rifle from 600 yards away.
They had cut i's head off and posed with the skull for the pictures, they actually, really thought we'd be impressed.

It's more impressing than gloating about attempted hit and run on police while drunk driving.
