Hunting does not appeal to me at all. But I can understand killing to eat. To a lesser extend i can understand killing predatory animals for a trophy.

But this shit disgusted me what sport is there in killing a fucking Giraffe? Hope these cunts get eaten by a lion.

I don't agree with any killing of animals that isn't "necessary". For food and, in some cases, population control are the only reasons I would class as necessary.

If they didn't hunt deer (for example) then it would damage the population of deer. We killed all their natural predators. The heard needs the weak and the old to be killed for its own survival.

This however this is just bloodsport and it disgusts me.

While that sounds reasonable the problem becomes when the figures are fudged to justify the reason which isn't exactly uncommon.

Nature tends to find an equilibrium.
Foxes kill and eat rabbits. If there are lots of rabbits, foxes will breed because there's plenty of food.
If they eat all the rabbits, the foxes start to starve because there's no food. Once the foxes have died back to a smaller number, the rabbits get a chance to breed again. Its a cycle that most predator/prey relationships go through.

Hunting giraffes is odd. They're not food in the traditional sense and they're not a threat to people. The "great white hunter" mentality is obviously still alive.

If the foxes could catch all the rabbits they would. We hunt more species to death than other predators simply because we're just so much better at it than them.

Quite true. Ecosystems are not stable. Extinctions happened all the time before man came along. Gaia theory was always a sack of toss.

I'm not saying we should welcome extinctions, far from it, but this idea that humans are fucking up a system that was in perfect balance is childish.

I have a relatively rare surname so I went on facebook ages ago and looked up some people with the same name. One of them is the biggest fucking redneck you could possibly imagine. Why sail to Cape Horn at the other end of Africa, bizarre! Fly to Kenya and go from the coast there would be better, nicer beaches as well.

Russians were also know to be selling holidays in Serbia to kill people with Sniper rifles.

No i'm saying what i've always said about hunting; if the animal is used completely, it's fine, if it's done just for fun, no.

It's the same with fishing, i can't say how much i loathe fishers who catch and release.
