Hunting solo in hib/mid

easy rp's? mostly yes
lame? it is, even rambo realised after playing an ns and dieing to tards camping route
go stealthed to emain? yea right, god bless croc ring stealthers can stick to an fg and campers can fo.

Maybe you should roll a stealther in Hib and run 15 minutes to emain each time you die, getting ganked half the times or whatever, by lame ppl camping in the only route there is (considering you have to run from hastener to hastener etc.)

And then come back and tell anyone to run stealthed to emain, which btw is so much fun its obvious no one would afk while running, right?.... zzz it's lame, even Rambo of all people realized this, and it certainly deserves no respect.

tisn't 15 mins, tis 11 or so, since I ran it very often unbuffed with my champ (7mins ish with bard speed iirc) usually to die to a fg since I didn't have stealth to avoid em while in emain and make my way back again.. I never minded solo people camping the route, but rambo + scout friend waiting around bolg was rather annoying since I didn't stand a chance at all course once I knew he or some other pair was in the area I just went around the back of bolg instead.. adding maybe 1 minute to my travel time.. oh the horror!!

That being said.. I do greatly enjoy it being an alb now and being able to just go afk on the port pad while waiting to get back ..

To aim back to the original part of this thread.. ive never camped svas.. but ligen does have enemies.. and many xp spots in the hib frontier.. its worth going during later on in the day as thats when hibs most populated.. run around and learn where hibs xp/farm very useful

and to add for it.. always do /realm and camp any bk where tehre is a keep taken by someone else to watch a few retakers

ROFL i think some people got grey killed a lot on the way to 50 eh? Ta for the info from those who understood what i was asking

Coupla points though:
1) I only grey-gank (And never for an xp death) if there's no higher levels to play with - i find you kill half a dozen grey's then you quickly get some high levels out hungry for blood.
2) I always leave the healer alive in an xp group unless he does something dumb - like attacking me even when his group is toast - i've even stunned mobs attacking the healer after helping wipe the group so he could get away and then come back to res their group.
3) It's a warzone in the frontiers - thats the whole point - if you go afk in an rvr area you deserve whatever happens to you really.

That's my policy on this crap, everyone has their own because they play the game a different way and for different reasons. Look forward to killing/being killed by you all

Forgot to say - actually i do occasionally wipe out groups mid xp'ing - but only if they've been pricks about it. For example - me and a mate log in in DF - right behind a hib group xp'ing (he was a pally) - he waits until they've finished xp'ing as i wander off a bit in stealth - he beckons their tank for a duel repeatedly like - they rush him and all gank him - even after he IP's and faith heals up etc. I wait until they pull next and then start whacking off mezzes and stuns all over the shop onto their healers and casters Bye bye group - wipeout - if people wont follow their own so called honourable rules why should i?

15 mins, 11 mins whatever takes time to release and buff up also. And as a champ you should enjoy solo stealthers on the way, as solo ppl is what you're looking for... But for a stealther he gotta be pretty poor to loose when a non stealthed hib NS/ranja comes on hastener speed past him, huge advantage, because of "lame" game mechanics, which, however, will be changed with NF anyway. So it is both lame, no challenge, and deserves no respect.

simple way of dealing with it is....either :

1)run stealthed to emain....
2)kill those camping ligen/svasud/sauvage
3)take a different route

Some people dont grasp the difference between 'lame' and 'not allowed'. No one is saying that you are not allowed to kill there. They saying 'it deserves no respect'. There are various reasons for those people to say that.

Running stealthed to Emain is a silly remark and makes me laugh IRL. Im sure some twisted mind would run to Emain stealthed but normal people who like to play dont do that.

Enchanters is also entirely different ball-game. You got run-speed buff so you can take easy another route without going Ailinne-Bolg-(Crim)-Emain. Enchanters do very well in the open field unstealted; nightshades and rangers do far less. Believe it or not but alot of nightshades and rangers make the run from Ligen solo and if you get ganked by 2 stealthers behind Bolg is very frustrating. You got 0 chance which makes the kill very easy and therefore not earn respect.

Killing a solo unstealthed Nightshade with 2(+) stealthers while camping is as easy as killing a level 10 wizard as level 50 character fully buffed. Therefore Im saying it deserves no respect.

Malevolencia: You should not forget a champion is on its best 1 vs 1 in the open field against stealthers. Champions do not rely on stealth and they can debuff, snare, insta nuke and fight as good in the openfield as anywhere else. Nightshades perform not the same, neither do rangers.

In the end the most funny thing is the people doing this stuff are the ones complaining how Hibs run an 'opted' high realmrank group in Emain at an off-hour while fighting that is alot easier then fighting 2 stealthers near Ligen with a solo nightshade.

If you think a luri champ without a buffbot does well against infils/SBs who get the jump on them while walking afk you're sorely mistaken, yes if I had purge and IP up and an end pot I could probably beat them (unless it was rambo who could 2-3 shot me ), but I'm sure an NS who popped ap3 and purge would do fine too It's not like champ LWs hit stealthers that often (even dueling unbuffed NSes I'd get evaded often)

And it should be easy for a ranger? just FZ em and fill em full of arrows...

and some ppl dont grasp...that just because you consider some actions "lame" or deserve no "respect"...others class as normal RvR

example...

Stealther A....sees Stealther B running unstealthed to emain

Stealther A...kills Stealther B....

Stealther B cries coz he got killed..and considers it lame and gives Stealther A no respect coz he killed him whilst he was unstealthed

Stealther A considers this normal RvR and doesnt see why hes getting flamed for killing an unstealthed target..and thinks silly bugger should of been stealthed if he didnt want to be killed so easily

Yep, Dwera was nailing peeps just outside Sauvage, shock, horror how dare he!!!! Oh what can I do the roads blocked, do I:

A. Run repeatedly up the road, that I know is camped, while making myself a cup of tea.

B. Try and get the bounce on him and kill him.

C. Whack on the stealth and sneak past him.

D. Whine on FH in the hope that he'll somehow feel ashamed for some reason and not do it ever again.


Um, funnily enough option A doesn't really do it for me and D is just lame cos he's an assassin and killing people on their travels is part of the job.

BTW I took option C, cos he'd kick my arse
