Hunters life when Llaw Arian are kicking about Yggdra (long, boring and pointless)

Avakr keep, 1am - Llaw Arian have taken the keep so I go to have a quick look at what's going on as the alliance retakes Bledmeer.

2 full groups of LA standing on front of the keep having a look about, think Wuren must have been having a piddle because they were all stuck up like sheep ;) Anyway they started running off towards Yggdra gates, then to Grallarhorn to try and stare out guards and returning to Avakr <rinse and repeat>

Now it gets a little annoying trying to keep up with 2 groups both with bard speed 5 when your stealthed, but I did my best anyway.

I'd usually turn up just as Carn, tankster and co have mangled some poor sod who was walking the dog and happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time, cant remember how many times I thought to myself "well I did say in /as that LA are running about.."

OK so how are we going to retake Avakr, it's probably upgraded fairly well and with 2 full groups of lets face it very good RvR's inside things would get very nasty. So with the help of the alliance leaders we decided that attacking LA away from the keep, then retaking the keep was the most painless option.. :uhoh:

Well it would have been except for these factors:

1. Random half groups of middies turning up at avakr and dying in 2 seconds to a hail of LA magic and weapons.:twak:

2. Another hibbie group (non LA) turning up out of the blue and joining LA, well more like tagging along in the hope of easy RPs I think. This lot died to middies and probably alerted LA.

3. Middies getting mass-messed and next to none of them having purge lol :D

So in the end, I started as the only middie alive in Yggdra and ended up as the only person alive in Yggdra after LA decided to test out the uber relic keep guards, I even got to shoot some arrows in them, bless :fluffle:

Kudos to LA for much fun (for me) anyway :D

Yeah, I think getting purge should be everyone's new years resolution. Although even with us all running around I'm not sure If we'd have won.

Even hock can't eat though that many insta heals and IP's, the poor big dumb bastid.

Soz Garnet for killing u 2 or 3 times(dont remember exactly) tonight at Bled. Was kinda asleep and reacted too late to the "DONT KILL!!!" spam in /g.

Ye once youve got alot of RA's from farming in Emain you can pull off stuff like that pretty easy with 2 nice balenced groups vs 3 groups of cobbled together classes.

Group purge always beats anything anyway.

But then as mid's we only have to face LA as the uber hib guild and not be on the receiving end of NP who'd be alot harder to fight.

50% of all Hib char's are chanters though, our pbaoe char was gimped till it got it, ie we hardly have any.

Lets not start this hibbys are not over powered thing because you'll lose ^^

Actually it was about if NP would get GP and LA would get insta aoe stun thingy^_^

well chanters were widely considered to be the gimps of gimpdom until the us pvp servers came out and people saw how good a pvp char they were.

they were considered to be only good for leveling easy, with nothing available when you reach the actaul rvr other than a DD and a pet :)

so there werent many of those around either, just that because they're a >LITTLE< easier to level than your pbae class they've caught up a bit that's all :D

Our PBAOE class didnt have PBAOE till last patch remember ^^

Before then the SM was regarded as being usless in rvr and pve, thats why theres alot being made now but hardly any at lvl 50 or at a high realm rank.

Same with Cabalists. But Cabalists didn't get anything in the last patch except int affecting dot damage.

hehe, like pbae was considered anything more than worthless till a few months back?

the general consensus was that anyone with a pbae spec was worthless in rvr, 100% worthless because it was thought "yeah, whoopee that nuke hits hard, for about the 1.5 seconds till you die before getting the first cast off" :)

simple fact is that until pbae groups happened, and until we saw it's use at keep gates, a pbae caster was considered not worth rolling in hib, glad that's changed but whether chanters had pbae or not, they were still considered just as worthless in rvr as your spirimasters etc... and thus none got made :)

they ARE however, THE easiest class to level after the druid in hibernia (because there ARE no druids for when you need to have one in an xp group, so you get grouped the second you come online), that's the only reason you see so many of them around now, they can solo great, group great etc... if they were a "normal" class for when it comes to leveling, no matter how good they are in rvr (still prefer elds, more fun) you'd not see half as many of them as there are :)

and gp.. i dont think we used it as we didnt get mezzed :p Fame mezzed you all :clap:
then was it just for us casters to nuke you down :p

I think it was the laziness of /stick as usual. Seen this happen so many time, lovely tightly packed people begging to get mezzed because they dont separate quick enough. Use to love that with my bard :D

Ye they got the jump as everyone was running after some hibs spotted in the other direction but as i said with stacked pbt group purge a mezzer and full buffs its very easy to drop double your number no probs at all.

But pickings must be thin in Emain if LA are roaming Midgard they cant be making much in the way of rp's, they killed about 30 peeps in 2 hours that night and got about 8 the night before untill they got ganked near fens, dunno if they got any Alb's.

Yes, the RP was basically shit... but even we RP whores can do things just for the fun of it :p
