Here's a light topic to start the week of(just throwing the basics in there)

We all know the message, save trees, unite humanity, peace and harmon, less nuclear power. You know, hippie stuff(no negative tone). Don't think i have to explain it further.

Now, that's pro-world. I'd say pro-earth, but the planet will be fine without us. Unless we manage to blow the f*cker up, she'll be fine. Bit barren maybe, but still rolling along.

Right, now, that being said, wouldn't pro-humanity support unity(one rule), more nuclear power(to accomodate needs of constructionplants etc), world peace(by destroying nations who oppose others if need be) etc?

If we want to forward the human race, as a race, wouldn't over-greening the planet and over-protecting each and every life be in the way?

Let's say back in the pre-america colonization, if humans had saved the trees, they wouldn't have had the ships to colonize america. Some would say that's a good thing, but not the point.

I don't think we can keep the earth all pure, clean and loveydovey, IF we want to upgrade the human race to the next level.

(Fast forward 10 pages to flamewar, try to avoid it ;))

Well that's a bit harsh, if true.

Though i wasn't advocating annihilation of people, perhaps just leaving some areas untreated.

Then again, that would also mean that if we don't treat, we don't interfere. Which would make some african diamond miners very sad.

Its right though, there are far to many people on this planet and its just going to get worse. Nature has many tools for population control and we just keep knocking them down.

Its a tough one though, you can't not help people in need but in doing so you are wrecking the planet. It may sound harsh but if a country cannot support itself then really it's population should fall to a sustainable size, it's how it works in every other animal group, the population is controlled by the available food sources. There will come a time when the global population reaches critical mass, we can't just keep bulldozing everything to make even more room for housing and crops to feed those in the housing, something will give.

Yeah i've said it before that the most likely cause of human extinction is human kindness. Also what i meant with "if true", not oudbting it, just saying that it's true if not harsh.

Bad english there :p

I know it's a very unpopular stance, but maybe we should have a population cap. For example; when UK reaches X million population, no more room(in other words; no new children) before people die or move.

I also realise that the above example and method are very primitive and would need some finer points.

I think we need a form of myxmomatosis, one that targets hoodies, chavs, anyone from the Jeremy Kyle show and politicians. That should help ease the burden on mother nature by illiminating single mother housing estates that are currently spreading like the plague across not just Britain but the world.

Then stop providing wells and second hand mobile phones to third world contries and provide condoms instead. Beats me how dying people have the energy to bone each other anyway.

Also, work on methods that detect the "lawyer" gene in new borns and re-engineer them to more useful tasks in life, like telephone sanitisers or porn fluffers.

This guy had the right idea

This guy has better ideas:

[youtubevid]<object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/_ZG8HBuDjgc&amp;hl=en_GB&amp;fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/_ZG8HBuDjgc&amp;hl=en_GB&amp;fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>[/youtubevid]

If you watch this and haven't seen it before, it might possibly be the best 50 minutes of video you watch this year.

First off that video is like 1.5 hours long :(

Secondly my guy had the ultimate plan for fixing the worlds problems :p

Do you even know who this guy is??

Yes, I know my James Bond Villiany Hall of Fame :D

Michael Lonsdale is one of my favourite Big Bads from ol' Bondy.

The vid I linked is only about 50 mins. The timing listed on YouTube is wrong :)
