From what i understand Hulu.com acts pretty much like the BBC iPlayer, where you're able to view programs off certain networks. Much like how the iPlayer is available to the UK only, Hulu.com seems to just be available to the US.

Is there any actual work around for this? People mention proxies, but by all accounts Hulu have blocked quite a lot of them so its not possible in some cases.

Sucks that they dont upload more clips to Youtube, it seems to just be filled with Simpsons/FamilyGuy stuff, which is nice, but i want to view some different stuff to show people!

I have been watching for a while to see if they would bring the service over here, but no luck yet. In their Terms and Conditions they say they are trying to bring the service to other countries. Looks like a really great service.

Yeah when i first seen them it was on Youtube, the quality of their clips was second to none and Fox etc never went out of their way to delete them so i wondered what was so special about them.

Now i know what they are it has certainly interested me in the services they provide, but knowing our luck it could take months/years for anything to develope.

I know hotspot shield used to work for Hulu, not sure if it does anymore though.

To make it available outside the US they'll have to unpick all of their existing overseas rights deals, and then do the sums to see if they make more money by syndicating content exclusively to individual broadcasters by country, or doing it non-exclusively (for less money) with Hulu running alongside.

I'm not sure you'll ever get Hulu outside North America as it stands; you'll probably just get the same content in a local service like iPlayer. Be thankful you've got that, in Ireland the only IPTV content available is 4OD and a crappy RTE trial that they can't afford to expand (despite a higher licence fee than the UK AND TV advertising).

Something tells me that bit is to stop people from asking them constantly.

I seriously doubt they've got much chance of doing this, they've got enough problems trying to license all of their content for usage within the US. They're currently trying to stop external apps such as Boxee from viewing it. It's a threat to their cable TV if people can just stream to their TV over the Internet.

The best and only option is to just download from other sites which upload it. It's a shame really, they could get quite a lot of legitimate foreign users viewing adverts if they allowed it.

I did try that Hotspot today, although i got a different error message which i think related to the speed of my connection.

It certainly did feel as if i was on a 56k modem when i connected through Hotspot, but yeah it didnt work all that well, i may have configured it wrong [Dont think i even configured it actually!].

But oh well, back to the drawing board i guess!
