I'm now considering the Samsung Galaxy S2. Looks like it may well be better than the HTC Sensation...

I'm almost 18months in with my Desire. Never even thought about a new phone until now. Thats the great thing about android every time you update it feels like a new phone, combined with the flexibility of being able to change and design your home screens as often as you like makes for newness feel.

Having said that, tempted with dual core :D

I just jumped from Vodafone to Orange and they gave me free an HTC Desire HD.

Should I have picked the Samsung Galaxy SII or the Nexus S over the Desire?

This phone is superb! Ive still not had a chance to play properly as I am still at work!

I got a bit confused because on my Nexus one my SD card was a folder called sdcard.
Now the sdcard folder on the S2 is the internal storage.

My actual SD Card is now in the folder sdcard/external_sd.

This guy has a good review of it with most of it's features:

I doubt I can say much more than he has really!

One thing it doesn't have is an LED light to show notifications...so a glance at the phone won't show me if I have an e-mail or text message waiting.

Comparison of Wildfire, Desire and Sensation here:
Compare HTC Wildfire and HTC Desire and HTC Sensation mobile phones

Main differences above a DesireHD are a front facing camera, higher rez screen, voicedialling and Android 2.3 (Gingerbread).
[edit] Oh yeah, I nearly forgot it has HTC's Sense v3 and 1080p recording.
YouTube - Hands-on with the HTC Sensation at the HTC Roadshow

actually not much differece?, surely not worth the extra hundreds of costs? The only real big change i see is the CPU
