so i gets my new spangly phone and its ace, but my maths head if rubbish


i have a 1gig a month data limit on my phone fair use policy applies etc etc

my question is how many hours can i listen to streamed music

i want to listen to digitally imported that streams at 96 kbps, or i was going to upgrade my spotify account to their premium service but if im listening to shit loads of tunes then its going to go over my monthly allowanace, or is it. ?
can anyone do the maths as im rubbish

looks like im on the internet plus bolt on so its 3 gb a month

96000 / 8 = 12000
12000 / 1024 = 11.7KB/sec

Call it 12KB/sec.

12KB/sec * 3600s = 43200KB/hr
43200 / 1024 = 42.19MB/hr

3GB = 3000MB

3000/42.2 = 71.09 hrs

So call it 72 hours which is either 2hr 20m a day, or 3 days non-stop.
