HTC Desire question

Hi guys,

On the HTC Desire, what does it mean if you have a White (not red) Triangle in the top left corner, which has a White Exclamation Mark inside?

Also had an issue where I could no longer Sync to my gmail account. Answer is thus;

Untick the auto time and date under settings, as on Tmobile (prob other networks too) this changes the phone to something bizzare, and the google servers see the time and date are well out and refuse the connection.
