After realising that I have to work when Englands final group game is being played I was wondering if there is any way I can watch live tv on my phone. A lad at work has an iPhone and catch up tv works great for him but on mine I just get an error saying that the type of flash content is not supported.

Are there any Android tv sites or is there another way I can watch live tv on my Desire?

Cheers.

Apparently TV Catchup have an android app for the Desire in beta at the moment, they're aiming for a release before the World Cup

TV Catchup is now working on Android phones.

You have to go to m.tvcatchup.com enter exactly like that on your phone and it works great and the quality is amazing.

Its made me happy :D

I checked that link when you posted it and it worked fine - today I'm getting 'cannot connect to server' errors though.

Its mega busy mate with the world cup, try SD or HD depending on which one isn't working. I had to try a few times yesterday. Yamgo is worse quality but seems to run better at high peak times.

Have any other desire owners experienced problems watching online video? I'm finding both beebplayer and tvcatch-up hang after about 5 minutes playback

Saw a lad watching footy today on his iPhone and using catchup and it was flawless on his, slightly annoyed about that.

Maybe the iPhone is better for this sort of thing than the HTC's :(

O2 are scrapping their unlimited data plans so streaming tv might be a no no for their customers
