HTC Desire IMAP Issue

Well about 15 days ago it seems my Mail program on my Desire doesn't want to download the latest emails at all, I use an IMAP account and they appear on my main computer mail program but unless I delete the whole account on the Desire it won't download them and then afterwards it still won't download the latest...any ideas?

Does the email provider use TLS by any chance? From experience they pretty much refuse to work with an IMAP TLS account.

Outgoing TLS is optional, I don't use it. It appears it just fails when it comes to the Inbox on my phone, for example I sent a test mail to myself which I then got via my PC email client but it still failed to show up on my phone however when I deleted it it then appeared in my phones deleted folder as well as the PC clients one.
