Has one, is it better than the iPhone?

As a long term Nokia/Symbian fanboy, I am in shock at the whlelsale demolition of the brand and the OS, it seems to have fallen off a cliff, not sales obviously, but as far as the world is convinced only Apple and Google exist and they invented it all.
My 3 year old 5800 does everything this HTC does except the multi touch screen
and lasted a fuck loads longer on the battery doing it.

Anything is better than iPhone. The new one was just a wee bit upgraded from last one. But i love my LG Optimus x2. Just plugged in to comp and transfered my music to phone, no need for any program installation or find right dir on phone. My mate bougth a Samsung Galaxy and spewed over it cause he had to go to their website download a program and slow program to transfer his music. We got same comp set up still my phone took about a third of the time to transfer same ammount of data :)

I'd be looking at the HTC Sensation or a Samsung Galaxy S2.

Wazz has a Sensation, he can give you the best advice. I've had a lengthy play with a Galaxy S2, it's seriously great, as slick as the iPhone 4.

I had a 5800 too, now on HTC Sensation, so I'm better than EVERYONE. ESPECIALLY Big G.

The GPS reception is simply woefull, though it has improved after latest update.
My faithfull NOKIA had a rock steady lock in a storm in Scotland and the HTC didn't even have one sat!
The internet is superb though, it's as fast as a desktop, but without the silicone case I bought it's like trying to hold a greased eel with a hand you've slept on all night.

The only downside I'd say to the Sensation is the battery life, but that does seem to be the case for most of the powerful smart phones, so can't really complain. Other than that, I'm thoroughly impressed by it. Very quick and smooth.

It's a damn good phone, more or less comes down to your choice of OS.

Apple make damn good consumer products, their terms are strict but their marketing is winning out.

Android is also a solid smartphone OS that has a bunch of support from big players if not the apparent ubiquity or services of apple

At the end of the day it's a fucking phone, got an iPhone meself and a Desire HD for work. They get used to call and text others with the occasional webbyness. The apps are nice but wouldn't miss them if they went.

Would recommend the HD though despite that last part ;)

Are you using some kind of application killer app? They seem to fuck up the GPS a fair bit, if I don't touch the app killer app and use something needing GPS, I don't have much bother.

Noooooo!
Just found out the update has fooked all my emulators, I guess it must be a 'mistake' rather than an attempt to kill them.
I mean they are on the Marketplace FFS!

As sure as eggs are eggs, if I bought an S2 tomorrow, a month or two from now, the bastards would bring out a dual core that wipes the floor with it. Faster, more pixels, etc

Writing this off a desire HD, its a great phone but you will need several chargers to keep it going, one in the bedroom, living room office etc. I have not seen mine last longer than 12 hours.

I can manage to make my battery last a good 24 hours easy, and that's with a fair bit of app using, including a lot of gps related apps, such a sports trackers and tracker boosters etc.
