HS in 1.4, well?

Just wondered what peeps think about the new and improved hit boxes. I've noticed that there are tons of HS now. It's so easy to get them now if you have reasonable aim.

I think this is good personally, as a HS is a HS, and not like before where you had to hit peeps' hairlines to get their 'heads'.

lol, yeah Headshots, loads in the game now, just wait until theres an Aimbot out, everyone who gets continous Headshots will be deemed a Cheat0r, now let the TFC Flames begin!

Headshots are easy now. Just aim anywhere and you're almost gonna get a HS.

Just do a few rushes.

Then watch the first person view for a while.


Most of it is pure luck...

Most people miss with the first 5 rounds and get lucky in the bit between 5-10:)

The First person view isnt perfectly accurate, there seems to be frames missing. Whether this is down to connection or just the way it is I'm not sure. I do think overall the hitboxes have improved, moaning about HS will never go away, even if Valve get the hitboxes spot on.

Played 1.4 for a whole hour and 15 minutes today. I like.

Dont weep Dolls, 1 1/4 hrs is good. Its all I'll get now for, erm, quite some time.

Believe me, young family and pootahs, dont mix. Just wish the admin would let me install here at work........................:(

Yes there are frames missing, most users update to the server around 40fps (cable/adsl users).

If your running at 100fps solid on ya own pc normally, youre obviously gonna feel slower when in eye views....

As for aimbots, they are pretty much dead...

And I havent noticed many more headshots than before, only this time the headshots are more skillfull to get...

Last version spraying while running/jumping looking anywhere but at the target achieved perfect headshots....

Seems better now ;)

I still shoot people in the nads and get head shots.

It ain't no recoil either:)


Tonight i clearly shot a player in the bottom with 1 shot from a DE and was credited with a 1 bullet hs kill:)

Happens to me in tfc to, the amount of times iv'e played the hunted and shot people in the chest and been given head shots isn't funny.


But then neither is shooting straight through people either, that happens to me a fair bit to:(

Aye i have notice it kind of judders in first person, sometimes it gives me headaches looking in it, totally messes with your eyes :/

Plays with your eyes alright, i'm pretty much used to the new little tweaks, i've been using the name 'Variable' so nobody regonises me playing like a newbie :)

The new maps are great fun, nice and fast, just how i like it :D

I like that Havana one, thats a good map, not too keen on that Chateu one tho but then again, not played it that much, always room for change

I think they're both great, havana reminds me slightly of streets from Goldeneye on the old N64, what a classic, what a classic.

Havana just degenerates into a DM game most of the time.

There is so many ways in and out of the areas that in my opinion it's just rush DM and pot luck.

CS is mainly DM now.

In servers i used to play in before quitting cs, everyone diddn't give a shit about gettin the hossies or planting the bomb.
they just went hunting...

fair enuff 2
mind u, iv heard that 1.4 is pretty shit with the new restrictions.

o well, still will never get me back into cs.

1.4 is great!

and the HS's are due to the way recoil is calculated in cs...

Instead of it being accurate to physics, like irl.... the bullets are designated a rough cone upon shooting.

Sometimes the bullet will hit perfectly on the dot, other times itll be a little off. This cone increases as you shoot. So the innacuracies increase also, this is why sometimes when spraying you achieve a hs on someone when shooting their leg or whatever.

It happens but it isnt aynthing to do with the hitboxes, hitboxes are fine.

well, thats another thing i like about 1.4 then.

as for the rest, i love 1.4, they have improoved it a lot imo.
