Before I start this isn't a moan at LPBs.
I just been on Jolts HPBs server and have found that I have one of the highest pings in the world, my ping dwarfed everybodies, there are people in antartica with better connections than me. Anyway the funny thing is the amount of dumbass LPBs who join and see the message saying they're about to be kicked, "oh no what have I done wrong" they cry, but by then its too late. hahaha.

I like to join HPB servers and set RATE to 200, CL_CMDRATE to 300 and CL_UPDATERATE to 300
they get so angry cos my ping hovers at 130, but they know i'm on a digital connection :O)

HPB servers are, in my mind, a great idea. HPBs can go and play against people under much fairer conditions. Ping DOES make a difference to what you can do. You simply cannot compete at the same level if you don't have the ping to augment your skills. True, with practice, an hpb can be better than a lot of lpbs. But people don't all want to train and train at cs to catch up with those players. They want to play for fun. They want it to be fair. HPB servers are a big step towards this.

Ha ha what, you mean like I just did to you. not only did you rise to it, but you had the weakest comeback I ever heard. But seriously, you can't have much of a life if thats how you get your kicks, most of us go out and get pissed, you hang around the internet like a sad lifeless tosser. And you'll find most people hate LPBs who crash HPB servers even your fellow LPBs.

Makes you wonder though how many people in these HPB servers are actually LPBs in disguise. There was one guy in not long ago who was obviously an LPB doing what children like perplex do. I caught him out by asking him about his system and he slipped up by saying he had cable, and at that point had a 34 - 8 score, kinda put 2 and 2 together. Another form of cheating, is this why barrysworld won't give us a HPB server?

HPB servers are slow and boring. The only good thing about the jolt hpb servers is the people that play on there, the games themselves are just TERRIBLE.

When i first started playing on these servers i had come from being a slpb and kicked arse :) People were accusing me of faking my ping and that i was a lpb. Its only becuase i was still playing like one, running around like a mad man rushing like a mad man.

Everything plays so slow i find, i've been playing on there for a few months and my game has become so boring.... Camping, waiting, hold points. I saw a few hpb i know from BW last weekend on the hpb servers and realsied how crap i had become :(

If you want to have a laugh then play on the hpb servers, if you want faster games and improve your skills play with the lpbs. That's how i see it.

Now to read the other posts

Firstly there is an option called "edit post" use it and stop shit attempts to increase your post count.

Your going to regret that lifeless tosser comment against Perplex.
I dont know him very well but even I know he has a life off the net.

I think you need the number for the AA if your idea of doing something better is going to get pissed ignus.

Oh yeah and lastly, ever tried paying CS with a rate of 200? Must be a damned skilled Cs player to manage 34-4 kills on any connection while setting their rate that low.

Firstly, both those posts were entirely different things, and why would I want my post count high, if you check most of my posts are quite long and aren't made up of 'lol' 'rofl' or ':upyours: ' as most peoples are.

secondly, how exactly am I going to regret it, what you gonna do call me names? come round my house and duff me up?

thirdly, you'll find a lot of people go out on a friday, saturday night to get drunk its a social thing to do. Todays word of the day is 'social'.

lastly, that last comment can only make sense to someone who has dedicated their life to studying computers, games and software. I admit I know fuck all about computers, they don't appeal to me as much as they do to you, I get Staz to fix the problems I make. You weedy computer geeks (you know who you are) will be sorry when the third world war begins and we all resort to shiney things as currency, you computer programmers or whatever you are will be the first things we eat.

Indeed, there only one fps game that requires a low ping imho. That being quake 3, most of the better 56k players i knew from my quake 2 days just didn't even bother with it, because it is so biased towards the lower ping the better. And these were people who would fear noone on a 30-50 ping:p

Imho when my ping spikes up 200 ish on 18 player servers, my level of play doesn't drop from when my ping is hovering 20-40:p
Cs and the halflife netcode just doesn't require your ping to be ubber low. As long as you ain't killing 200+ non stop, it's your skill, and presence of mind that counts. In cs i find it's the situations you put yourself into that either carrys you on to glory, or sucessive failiers, not your ping:p
