I'd suggest people look at running with no less than 2GB of RAM nowadays. You can pick up 1GB sticks for very little money. Stick 2 of them into your machine and you will notice a massiive difference.

Check out some of the more known memory companies. Personally I use Crucial. Most will have tools that let you search for memory that your system supports. Crucial has a downloadable tool that scans your system and gives you various options to upgrade.

intel DC 3.4
3 gig ram
win XP
ati x1950 pro 512Mb which isn't that hot a card
equivalent nvidia would be maybe a 7800?

game runs fine for me at 1200 * 1000 on balanced settings, with occasional slight lag when theres heavy aoe spells firing off

I think more RAM is what you need, especially if you are vista.

Iv'e never heard of the 8500, is that one of those cards that uses the system memory rather than having full memory onboard? that could be your problem if its using system RAM your 2G in effect becomes like 1.5G

amd 2x3800 (2ghz)
2gb ram (2x1dual 400mhz slow)
8800gt

slowish processor and slow ram.

cpu usage 80-90% means its minimum
ram 2gb is ok, but its not too fast one ;[

i can play without lag for 1-2hours, then quit/logback helps.

Are you sure about that? Gamebryo itself supports it.

There were posts on IGN about it and I also saw a quote from Mythic somewhere.

But I checked myself and even with affinity set to 4 cores only 1 core takes the load.

Same with the GPU and SLi. I was watching the GPU load and only one was in use.

So unless there's a .xml setting to change it seems it isn't enabled yet.

Ive got,

intel dual core 2ghz
2gig ram
geforce 8500gt

Im lagging extremly much, i cant do shit in rvr, i can barely do anything even if i m solo with more then 5people around me.

The weird thing is that a mate has the exactly same specs on his comp and his war runs perfectly.

Ive tried updating the chipset, updatet driver on the gfx card, reinstalled the game and even reinstalled windows, nothing helps.. Anyone?

Btw i can run crysis on medium settings and WoW on high without any lag what so ever.

The funny thing is that I have 4GB RAM, 1GB VRAM (gfx card) it's a NV8800GT (some asus thingie) but I have real problems in high-quality mode.

It works flawless in balanced mode however.

I guess it is my damn GFX card that was a real bad buy, my old NV8600GTS with 256MB ram which i had during beta ran better afaik.

Hmmm sucky...

Oh anyone else have these stupid crashes? like you turn around and bwomp you're in windows....

Yeah it's not often but when its 500queue to Azgal it sucks :)

It might be a memory leak, Luna. I don't think your new card is worse than your old one. I too had flawless 80+ fps in OB, now sometimes it drops right down. Tried all settings, again sometimes I get 70+ fps no worries, in T1 scenario's I got no slowdown what-so-ever. It's like a yo-yo, log on once, great, log on another time, crappy.

I don't know much about the technical side, but memory leaks can be fixed by the developer?

Was seeing alot of crashes on the laptop but Tosh just released new Nvidia drivers - only 1 crash in a week since. Game runs absolutely fine on Laptop in all PvE/PvP situations.

Got a HP laptop with an intel 2GHz dual core, a Geforce 8600M GT (256MB), and 2 gigs of ram, running on Win Vista Premium. I play at the screen's native resolution of 1440x900, but to keep the framerate nice and playable, I have to lower many settings. The one that made the most impact was lightmaps. I also disabled anisotropic filtering at the driver level (but the terrain still looks heavily filtered). Anyway, it's running great now, even in scenarios.

Only trouble is that the laptop tends to heat a little due to it not spreading the load over both CPUs, as WoW does. I hope they will add dualcore support soon.
