How's Hibernia doing?

Hi all, i've been away for a while playing some other mmorpgs.. but i was looking at a catacombs-box today and well.. Now i'm not sure if i want to move back to DAoC..

So can you tell me how hib/ daoc is doing now? How are the new Hib-classes? Does it still take years to make a decent chararter (with artis and mls?) Or did they improve some things? Or are Catacombs-items even better and a little easier to get?

And is Na Suinn Catha still around?

im not a hib but ill try and answer your question

about the 2 new classes some would say they are a bit overpowered ( proberbly none-hib players ) and some would say they are balanced, anyways they both seems to be quite good and a nice kick to hib with some new play styles and suchlike.

about the arti's i dont really know tbh, havent hib always been the easymode realm when it comes to arties aka animists ¿

anywho, try and grap the release notes from the comming patchs...they look quite interresting

cats hasn't really effected me much, new classes are generally OK. Heretic can be fun to play again, warlock isn't, vamp and bainshee seem fine but at least warlocks get fixed soon.

I only really bought catacombs for access to the quests and the graphical updates, haven't even tried either of the new hib classes

artis/master levels are still fairly easy to be honest, just need a few friends to help out and your sorted. If I can get credit then anyone can since I'm an unsocial bastard

Leveling is fairly easy, infact it's probably more fun now with cats and the instanced dungeons, the cats quests are very nice too

As always you get back what you put in. If you're not willing to spend some time on your character I doubt you'll enjoy it much.

Hiya matey, to keep it brief.. vamps are fun to play, can't comment on bains; the new areas and quests make it loads easier to get to 50 imo, especially with the task dungeons; arti's still a bit of a pain but upcoming patch should sort that out somewhat, also there are some nice drops from cata quests and mobs; and finally NSC is very much alive, am sure they'd all love to have you back

Hib is still fun, arti's are better now they can all level in nf zones.
Getting to 50 is much more fun with cata.
Na Suinn Catha is as daft as ever (more if you count the fact I am now co-gm )

Oi mate Has someone's presence on TFD forums influenced you to check up on DaoC?

Like people above said; it's all very doable nowadays. Of course some of the mls are still a pain but the actual (exp) lvling has never been as good. Artes lvl quite fast as well and most are fairly easy obtainable.

Actually I picked up DaoC again a little while back but I'm playing on
Gaheris the US Coop server. It's just very relaxed atmosphere after RVR and
in the short time i've been there I already have a level 50 enchanter
(called Tiarhyn ) and a level 49,5 druid, hope to ding him 50 this weekend.
Also a 40 necro and a gazillion level 20-25 alts from all realms

I'll take this opportunity (hope i spelled that one right ) to say HI and give a big grouphug to all NSC members out there.

Met lots of you guys/girls ingame and I feel honored that all of you ask me to come back.

If its wasn't for my irl friends idea to make our own guild I still would have been a part of NSC no doubt about it.

If ya ever need a warden to help ya out for no matter what (plain lvling, ML - Arti xp, raids, ...) just give me a pm and I'll be there.
(little side note : that if I'm not currently doing something with own guild. If you're lucky you might even get the whole A-team to help ya out )
