How to set brightness in WMP for watching daoc vids?

I have a problem when watching daoc vids.. Normally my screen is very bright (I play cs a lot, and need brightness for dark corners so I can shoot campers) , but when I try to watch a daoc video, my windows media player, div x player, or any other media playing tool I have installed, the screen is very dark.. and it's only in the area the video is running. This means that when I use my catalyst to raise brightness, it doesn't affect the square in which the daoc video is running.

I tried to work it out with powerstrip, but it didn't help. Does anyone have an idea what I can do to make WMP, div x player and all other video playing programs brighter?

I normally use that program for vids too, but the actual square of video is still darker than everywhere else on my screen...

Usually somewhere in you video settings in windows you can find some settings to paly with for video overlays...upping the brightness here will only affect video brightness and nothing else.

tweak that stoof and you should be good to go.

Can't find it.. I go to screen options, chose overlay, but I can't configure it.

something along those lines..ofc ex. is for GE-Force card..bt should be similar settings on all cards afaik.

I don't have that "all channels" button. Atm I'm using a Radeon 9000 pro 128mb card and I have a catalyst installed (found it at tweak.dk). How do I get the button to appear?

do you have R G B sliders instead? if so raise em all a little bit..should have sameish effect.

Dunno why, but I pushed some buttons, and now the overlay section works as it should. Brightness can be adjusted in the video footage I watch now! Thanks a ton for all the help.. couldn't have done it without (finally I can watch all those daoc vids properly)
