How to make a DAOC vid?

Ok so i got some footage recored by FRAPS. Question is now what the hell do i do to make a decent looking movie.
What programs do peeps used to make and edit movies (tried windows movie maker last night for a laugh it sucked)
What do you use to compress it?
What else do i need?
