My shoelace broke today and I'm left with a nasty frayed end. Until I can find a replacement, I need to fix it. It needs to last at least a week or two.

The lace itself is something like this

Its off a hiking boot.

Any suggestions ?

Duct tape ?

First off, don't try to put a fox on it. Cruel and rarely works :D

Now to be serious, burn it.

Zippo works nicely, burn the end to get a similar effect as the end would be. Pair of things help to make it flat and round.

So umm...pair of things means pair of metal things, like, plyers, two flat metal slabs..etc.
