Face is very much needed when your getting shot by an archer class, or nuked by a mage to find out where the hell they are hitting you from. Usually I clear my target box, wait for the next hit (there is a key but i always forget to use it :p ) then /face qc mezz, without face though I would prolly get target not in view and have to waste more time trying to find out where the target was.

I like the idea so that you can only stick realm mates, and not enemies, and removing assist would be nice, wouldn't really chance much to the good groups.


I die in 2 hits just after I have been rezzed, 950 hits and ~200 af + no absorb, still sorc is so overpowered before they die they must have this huge dis-advantage after being rezzed :rolleyes:

Reason why other realms got insta's was more cus of QC on sorc I think. Although to use an insta at any time other than at the start to interupt the sorc is usually a bad idea. It never works to insta mezz the tanks hitting you (heck qc ae mezz with red border ae mezz rarely works!) cus of overpowered determination :( unless of course its a bunch of thanes hitting you :D

Healer should easily achieve 2000 hits, with red shaman buffs, toughness 2 is a very good investment, in my rr10l10 template on sorc i have tough 3.
My sorc caps at 1500 hits with mota2 lvl 50 enhance buffs + toughness 1, 1505 i think with mota3 on buffbot.

- like said before remove insta ae cc
- give IP to fighter classes only
- remove assist
- maybe remove backup styles, more skill and reaction needed to perform action based styles like after block/parry/evade, keep cancel style though

To fix RvR we need to balance 23 ginger marmots ontop of a ripened truck driver.

Remove IP all-together, it takes the piss that an RA can offer a more powerful heal than a fully mend specced Healer/Cleric/Druid(?). Or lower it to a 50% heal and make FA a short duration 'Frigg' Spell.

Removing all the silly / commands would be nice, except that if /face was to be removed i would like there to be a /stop command, since /face currently is the only way for you to not lag ahead for 0987504 seconds when you want to cast a spell.

Yes i commonly use the /face command to get spells off asap. Its great running at speed 5 and halting immediately to get that vital spell off.

Apart from that i think the automatic targetting removes a lot of skills. Hotrat, I understand how cool it is to be able to autofind an archer sniping you but the whole point is your not supposed to. Your supposed to look around to find them. Dont take it as an insult, on a whole players have become far too dependant on the slash commands. They are IDD very powerful. But myself, i think the game would be better without them.

Until then there is no reason not to use every legit tool avail to give yourself an advantage.

ranged insta mez has to be admitted to be next to impossible to defend against but I agree with out QC would leave pac healers and bards with little defensive CC.

Would it work you think, to chance the bard AoE insta mez and the pac healer AoE insta mez and stun to pbAoE (as the cleric eqiv).

This would still give the two classes some way of getting angry mobs and tanks off them but with out the “run in at speed 5 (or 6) – spam a button till it goes into range – I win (usually – be honest)” but evens up the playing field for sorcs with their "I have to stop running and cast - kill me now I am a CCing caster big glowing disco lights " who cant compete against an insta (yes I know 1750 – but remove / change instas and this fudge-fix can be corrected) and I think that hybrid HP and chain/reinforced easily makes up for a little extra dex but having cloth and caster/rouge HPs

Most clerics are specced rejuv/enhance and that insta pbaoe mezz is smite spec, but when a tank resists the insta pbaoe mezz (which lasts shorter then healer/bards I recall, not sure though) the cleric is still in a problem. And the pbaoe insta mezz is more a defense then the insta's mezz/stun from healer/bard. Maybe make them pbaoe as well pure as defence.

I liked the idea removing IP completely, but doubt it will ever happen.
