Hi. I'm thinking about setting up a server for my clan and I wanted to know how do you detect cheats like the wallhack and stuff like some servers do?

nah punkbuster is crap
bwtfcl started using it but it kept dropping ppl in matches for no reason so they ditched it.
anyway if your running the server you can ban ppl whom u think is cheating

Yeah Punkbuster's crap.
But I can't just kick everybody i think is cheating ( anyone with a score better than mine
)
Isn't there another way?
I'm mostly conserned about the wallhack
I've heard that all cards can do that, instead of just ASUS cards. Is that true too?

yeh theres that third person view
i liked it cause it made a change but i couldnt play very well!

No punkbuster will not kick everyone, its still in testing but I have never seen it kick at random with the latest version.
It will ensure that most cheats are filtered out and help u detect some wallhacks, but you will still have to watch players that are accussed -remember unless they shoot with an awp or rifle through a door directly hitting people a lot there is no way of saying for certain if they are wallhacking.

Serial killer, I am talking about CS not TFC, to my knowledge and from playing on PB servers I have no problems, you totally ignoring the positive aspects of the program and flaming it is small mided and pointless.
Born2Kill, look into punkbuster see if it is for you give it a trial.

Well i'm gonna give it a go.
And i was investigating all kids of cheats and all and yep, i found a wallhack for non-ASUS cards. I got a voodoo3 and... yes shame on me... i tried the hack on a server. It may be fun for a while, to just deviate from the normal routine... but it really sucks to play like that. I don't know the fun peeps get out from that.
Oh well, gonna go try punkbuster a go.

Turn off spectator mode on your sever this stops ppl using the spectator cheat
All the barrysworld and jolt servers do this

yeah it is a recent thing, caus 1 of me mates i better not say his name (joe), was using this cheat and got pissed off when bw and jolt stopped using spectator mode

Yes he is but it was amusing the first time i saw him do it, but after a while it just pisses ppl off
