[QUESTION] How on earth?

I've been wandering round with my Shaman, and I've been noticing a load of dark elves in the area (particularly Ekrund)

Now after taking a quick glance at the world map, it's pretty obvious that the High Elves and Dark Elves are battling it out on their own little island.

How on earth did they get all the way over here?

Its funny isn't it? I actually preferred It alot when it was just Orcs and Gobbos running around Mount Doom and Ekrund.

Oh right cool, like a teleportation type thing?

Is this world actually seamless, or are their boundaries / zoning?

I can't really grasp how big it is either, the maps don't really show that kind of info.
