And how does the payment work, I'm hearing from one side it's a one off payment, from another it's monthly, help!

Its 1 time payment, when you buy the cd with the cdkey and box. Then it will be charge like normal. Would be crazy if the charge more from people that play with SI. That would be like shooting yourself in the foot, after development.

And if i have understood the info correctly, you have to activate your SI account thru the subscription page after you installed it.

Thats true , on your subs page , theres a place to enter the SI cd key , which you then activate . Only payments to be made are for the cd itself
