75 eggs
300g seeds
pitta breads
raisins
oranges
apples
pears
anything else as and when required (wholewheat pasta,rice, frozen veg etc)

do you realise frozen vegetables are more nutritious (and cheaper) than most fresh stuff you buy in the shop?

they are usually frozen within 2 hours of being picked, as opposed to the fresh stuff which is picked, had fuck knows what done to it and then travelled miles to the shop.

yeah i do, but other than pea's they taste like crap, i've grown up with all fresh fruit and veg growing in the garden so thats the taste i like so generally go to the farmers markets

don't know why, but a chicken costs the same as a packet of cheese(about) around here.

Meat is even cheaper at some cases.

My Mum and step dad (the family I live with) buy food on a weekly basis, where we go to the same supermarket every week and buy what we think we'll need for that week. Ending up with a heaped trolley load every time, certainly more than £100 a week.

My Dad and step mum however tend to buy on a 2-3 day basis like Cal said. Where we go to either a supermarket, or local store and just get what we need for two or three days, usually enough to fit in two/three shopping bags. no idea how much it amounts to a week but I'd be suprised if its as much as the weekly system. I always seem to eat well at my Dad's though.

Living alone I would probably be a mix of the two, occassionally getting enough for the week, but mostly just getting something either the same day that I'm eating it or the day before. Planning out meals isnt something I like doing. I also prefer to eat out alteast once a week, which neither or my parents do.

Tbh, you always tend to spend more shopping often, because you always pick up things you probably are not looking for Ive seen me go to the corner shop to get some juice for our lass and come out having spent 10-15 pounds on crisps and chocolate bars for Saturday nights.

I have serious food issues, I just love the taste of it.
