From that link - it sounds like you should be able to tell the exact rank of the person you kill from the RPs ^^

- your realm rank level starts at one, not zero
- a realm rank is ten levels.

From their example:
lvl 50, R5L2, CL5, ML10
Pre Patch 1.81
(Level - 20)squared + RRL
(50-20)² + 42 = 900 + 42 = 942 points

Post Patch 1.81
(Level - 20)squared + (realm rank level x 5) + (champion level x 10) + (master level (squared)x 5)
(50-20)² + (42 x 5) + (5 x 10) + (10² x 5)
= 900 + 210 + 50 + 500 = 1660 realm points.

So say I go and get my Champion Levels, this will be what my arse is worth :>

Pre
(50-20)² + 77 = 900 + 77 = 977 points
Post
(50-20)² + (77 x 5) + (5 x 10) + (10² x 5)
= 900 + 385 + 50 + 500 = 1835 realm points.

Holy moly, I'm going to be worth almost double the RP .
There's going to be a lot of happy archers/rangers and Inf/NS's out there

(50-20)² + (100 x 5) + (5 x 10) + (10² x 5)
= 900 + 500 + 50 + 500 = 1950 realm points.

Where are the lvl difference modifier in those calculations? And difference in RR? (not just teh RR of the person u kill) And isn't there supposed to be a rp bonus u build up if you keep getting kills without dying (for the person who finally kills you i mean).

thats with Dr active. And yes it does; ML's CL's RR and some other shit. Chim made a psot about it and it had all the calculations init there. He got something like 3000rps for a ml10 CL5 rr8+ char

I like that 2010 RPs screeny a few posts up. Looking forward to this new expansion thing simply for the self healing spell thing. Downtime should be less, so can fight more when in Albland instead of sitting for about 4-5 mins waiting for health to go up.
I used to have First Aid for a bit which was lovely, but in the end, the 5 points had to do into something more useful :/ I ran with healing barrel for a bit (800g!) but I used it up too quick and it is expensive over time.

I hope the "gravity" and timing of fights and swinging weapons is all the same in the DR client, and I hope that it doesn't eat up too many computer resources because in Cata+Fraps=a bit choppy but just about playable (when I remember to turn it on), so I'm hoping DR+Fraps is ok.

I suppose we'll have these bumped up RPs and patch by the Summer?

You always came close but I just hit remedy and spam and win, nightshade went from underpowered (imho.) to fotm instawin button class, and next patch when everyone gets remedy we will be facing remedy infils with their 2.5 spec points and remedy sb's with superior dmg and hp's and we will be the underdog again like in the good old zerker and 9sec stun days.
