Guildmate hit it recently due to, well, selling alot of stuff

Rises to 200p with next patch I believe.

The games max seems to be 214 plat, as without rewritting the games hard code it cant be any higher. However 200 plat will be the max in some patch (irri when you always forget what comes in what patch so you never know if you are actually gonna get it next patch or later ).

Maybe they put it there with the intention to implement it at a later date, whoes ever gonna have 1 mithril though?

afaik - you can only trade to you 150 p..
but you can get more cash by selling to merchants ( loot and trinkets )

I'm pretty sure the mithril was coded in and ruled out at beta due to exploits and balancing. The lazy artists have never got around to taking M out of all currency dialog boxes.

You can't get over 150p in the current patch by trading.
You can get higher than that by selling stuff to merchants, up to 214p or so.

Even if you were crazy enough to try that, I wouldn't recommend it. Your cash display goes all weird and you basically now have a negative amount of cash.
You can't buy much for that

- A consignment merchant can no longer sell items if it is already holding over 200 plat.

- You can no longer sell items back to get more than 200 platinum on your character.

so in 1.64 the hardcap is200p now i will never get 1mithril

but dunno what it is these days... i'll test it someday soon...

Well, since I struggle to ever get more than 1p on any of my chars except my necro for longer than 10 mins ( compulsive crafter ) not being able to get to mithril doesn't really bother me

because that would mean they need to increase the size their money counter can go to. Atm for 200 plat is only needs to be 32 bits (actually 31 and being able to go negative for some reason so -214plat to +214 plat), that is slightly guesswork. However 214 plat which seems to be the games true max (by selling stuff to merchant you can get to 214 plat before the game bugs on you) and thats 31 bits. So to go to 1 mithril they would probably need to increase their variable for money to a 64 bit number (in programming language I know there is a 32 bit and a 64 bit size for variable nothing in between), which might mean that the game will be slower for some reason. So why have 1 mithril when almost no one will ever use it . There are probably around 20 people per server who have above 100 plat and with housing that will decrease or atleast for a short time.

its 1c off 150p. just dump ur cash in lots of 100p onto cash slaves and leave the remaining p as pocket money thats what i do

just dont delete any of these cash slaves that would be bad.
