Pfft, how stupid. I can just about let slip the 'Thrill of the Hunt' even if I can't see the actual thrill in taking down an animal from 750m with your sniper rifle... but that just... jeez, thats totally sick.

And the know the worst part? Things like that will probably be deemed socially acceptable in 50 years or so...

I like the part about disabled hunters.........

Should f**king ripp there arms and legs off and make em all disabled.

And there is no such thing as a disabled hunter is there?? I mean thats just made up, if your disabled you cant hunt simple.

Using a the disabled community to justify this is sooo wrong in sooo many ways.

Personally I doubt this will actual happen. Gun laws in the US require 'due care' to be taken when firing a gun. If the person isnt actually physically holding the gun a case could be made that as they are not in contact with the weapon they cannot control the weapon.

I have little doubt they have a guy in a wheelchair holding a Barretta snipers rifle primed to justify this claim.
Only problem the disabled hunter has is if theres no-one there to hold his chair. When he fires he disapears backwards 50 yards.

"We were looking at a beautiful white-tail buck and my friend said 'If you just had a gun for that.' A little light bulb went off in my head," he said.

what a great mentality to have eh? :p

They are quite incredible, while on holiday in North Canada, sat next to a table of German hunters, they had like a 100 pictures of their days kill on the table, and they were pointing and laughing at the pics, waiting for someone nearby to be impressed.

The pic was of a Ram, quite big I suppose, but just frekin male sheep fer crissakes.
In the pics all 3 had high powered rifles, and no doubt the ram was just stood there munchin grass, when it got shot from 300ft away.

Surely even they must thave some sort of honour or fair play, but no they really were sad, sad, sad fuckers.

yeah man with big gun vs dumb animal and still they are sooooo proud of their kill, such bullshit
almost as stupid as fishing when your not planning to eat the fish, people do this for fun??? must be really cool sitting at a lake all day with a stick above the water...

reminds me of a kid that died at a firing range 'by accident', his mom was talking on TV: "this is a picture of him when he was 12 and killed his first deer"... rofl such fucking idiots, all of a sudden the sympathy i had for them left me... they wanted to teach their kid how to handle a gun to shoot animals for sport and now they got him killed with that bullshit and they whine... idiots

ohhh i hurt a fisher!!

tell me the point then, i see it often here (especially in this lake-country), people sitting with the stick in their hands just staring at a lake, sitting or standing like statues for hours, alone. Always makes me wonder what the hell they are really doing, are they thinking? meditating? sleeping with open eyes? or are they really concentrating on the stick waiting till they feel some fish pull the line so they can put it in a bucket and throw it back in the lake again when they leave?

what the fuck is so fun about it that it can keep people busy for hours?

My dad is into fishing because he likes the quiet and tranquility while he is out there (come to think of it since i left home he seems to be going far less often /ponder) i think he likes watching the wildlife in and around the lake as well. He keeps a record of the fish that he catches as well so i guess there is a competative element to it as well a bit. I dont think he does it 2 outsmart those damn pesky fish xD

I dont understand how he origonaly got into it tho, i guess if his mates were going it could have been a matey event (i have a flatmate who goes fishing with his mates at home and thats what its like for him but he lives in penzance so its also like a day at the beach and its away from his house so he can get stoned in saftey). He never managed 2 get me interested enough realy i think its pretty boring as well :S

Hehe yeah and that bacon sandwich you had for breakfast? You didnt even have to kill that. When you hunt and kill something you are at least involved in the killing and can thus better appreciate the moral implications of what you have done.

The whole reason humankind has gotten out of control is that hunting is not common. Because people farm and raise animals for the slaughter humanity has grown beyond the normal equilibrium that exists for lifeforms. i.e. When theres heaps of grass sheep breed more often and sheep population increases, When not enough grass, sheep die and the equilibrium is restored. If people had to hunt for the own surival still humanity wouldnt be the homoginised, over-eatin' , computer-playin' mess it is today ;)
Hunting is a pastime we should all indulge in (excet veggies they should grow there own plants). Stop going to that damn Wal-mart, Tescos or woolworths that is the real evil!!

(just kidding about the compuer-playin' part )

The majority of them are probably doing it to get away from their wives. Easier to say they are going fishing than to say they are off down the pub.

uhm i fished a lot

slightly more complex than holding a stick over the water, but i wont go into that, but i will say that i enjoyed every second of my fishing past...

as far as hunting goes, i dont care either way, as long as it doesent directly affect me, i couldent give a flying fuck tbh.. each to their own, whatever floats your boat etc...

im sure 99.999% of hunters would agree that sitting infront of a pc 24/7, playing silly games and using forums, and shit like msn to communicate is pretty damn sad.

fucked up world we live in (ie bush, not only getting re-ellected, but also gaining the popularity vote, WTF!!)

time to burry my head in the sand and let the world get on with its own shit, past caring now..

How ever the animal was killed for food, not sport. Most people that go hunting (with the exclusing of fishing maybe, I dont know) do not eat what they kill.
