http://www.ntcompatible.com/ is a good place to start out.

If it doesnt help, try to find some good abandonware site, they usually have instructions and utilities to get old games running on modern systems.

make a shortcut to the .exe the go to properties then comptability and switch to windows 95.

usually old games dont work because they look for a certain amount of memory in the first 640k, not a problem nowadays but it was with 386 and 486 machines. if they dont see it they wont run, probably best to look for an emulator that will work with it.

also yo might find that everything is too fast as the CPU speed will be going mental

if you right click and goto properties, there is an option "run in windows" you can choose winxp/98/95 etc etc.

maybe that other guy said already hehe

Alternatively, you can install an emulator for DOS.

And if you don't want that, try out VMWare and have it run Windows 95 inside Windows XP.

I'm sure there are other emulators out there, but these two are the ones I use. :) I'm quite satisfied with them.

Hmm, must try to get XCom Apocalypse running some time.

Does anyone know if they include soundblaster emulators for modern soundcards, as that was my issue when I tried setting up a dual boot with Win98 to play it before.
