How High is Samac (inf)

Asking cos i logged in Darkness and was getting buffed (had only recieved 3/4 buffs) by my buffbot (39 aug) when got jumped by Samac. He took out my buffbot first. In the meantime i had got on his back and used Snowsquall on him. By the time he had dropped my buffbot he had to use that health renewing spell thingie. After this i very nearly killed him again!! - hehe. One more hit and he would have gone but i had run out of end and was missing snowsquall as he was purple to me.

Am interested cos i am only level 39!

Nothing special

Norse SB with full for level la - 39 - got luvly stun now!

Axe at my level (with +8)

Envenom 29 now (plus 8)

Buffed stats are impressive though - 286 str (aug str 2) 170 str unbuffed. 247 con buffed (1352 hits already). 198 quickness buffed (using 3.7 spd mainhand and 2.4 offhand. Dex is 224 though is not capped.

I dunno i seem to hit very hard and very fast with the above spec though still very unsure whether will be any good later on - though can't see why not, cos upto now been excellent!

First few hits on Samac were doublefrost and snowsquall. I was buffed then. Damage was:

Doublefrost:

87 (minus 34)
You hit samac for 11 extra damage
Samac is poisoned
You hit Samac for 25 damage
You attack Samac with your axe and hit for 23 (-9)
You hit Samac for 6 extra damage
Samac looks weaker (debuff)

Total of 152

Moved to his back

Snowsquall:

You attack Samac with your axe and hit for 102 (-40)
You hit Samac for 10 extra damage
You miss
Samac is poisoned
You hit Samac for 31 damage.

Above was buffed.

Doublefrost scored 69 mainhand and 25 unbuffed!

Considering Samac is level 50 and rl godknows sure seems ok to me.

Reason he nearly died though was because i was positioned on his back and hitting him very quickly without any hits coming back hehe. Though if i had managed to get somemore snowsqualls in he would have gone for sure!

You r a Kob ain't you? Tried that and it just didn't seem to work - not enough str for me. Rolled Certi with everything into str - the full amount at start up - bit daft? Not to my way of thinking cos using la mechanics speed can be adjusted with suitable weaps.

In BG1 i was dropping buffed slash infs after they debuffed me!! - had 212 str buffed so even if they knocked it down to 170-80 my damage never hardly dropped hehe.

Will end up with around 350 str by time i 50 i should think. Debuff on that not gonna hurt me too much hopefully.

don't set your hopes high.

and you won't hit 350Str unless you put +18 into Str on creation, got a bot with MotA4.and Aug.Str3

just respecced out of my 50 Axe 44LA testing, no real difference there.
None that would be worth mentioning tho.


Infils are going to outdamage you in 2:1 or 3:1 ratio... nothing to do about it.

throw in a mincer and you can line out another 70dmg of your damage output.

Spec

Interesting spec though obviously none or very little envenom. Would have thought debuff on them slash infs was very worthwhile? Also i find very high evenom makes things a little more interesting.

My spec will be along these lines:

Stealth around 36 (want 50 as soon as possible)
Axe 39 (always kept this at my level and damage been great all along)
LA - 46 to begin with (pushing for duel reflexes 2 so damage will get close to 100% on both weaps)
Envenom 36 (max debuff and eventually full poison)
Crit - just 10 for bs2 for any awkward runners.

Want to play as a shadowzerk (eh not sure wot this is but maybe i want to be one hehe - cool name!) and will prob continue to level Wtfla - 35 now and is a critblade. Could combine the 2 styles but i reckon it gonna get too complicated - i always keep everything as simple as possible (quickbars etc).

Hmm don't remember the fight, allthough I do remember being in Emain cos Stacey was whinging about making infs and never playing em :>...

TBH I kinda retired my infil due too loads of infs everywhere these days, and also after seeing the damage that SBs are doing these days it has lost some of the fun. When I used to play and shammy buff meant unlimited end and LA was still decent(maybe even overpowered) I think I had more fun . Back then PA was really needed and DragonFang was important and hamstring combo was really needed to conserve end and get decent damage now u pop a end regen pot, spam garrote/AH followed by DF, ten switch bar and do combo when rdy.

Stacey still plays inf occasionaly, and she often beats 2 SBs same time. We aint even got ablatives on sc suit and aint anywhere near capping quick.

Am still not bothered hehe. Heard it all before in BG1. Last time i was there as Certi i lost in total about 2 fights! One very close encounter with a slash inf - a very good one - after being debuffed. Other after being perfed - and even then was close! As i had to rely on the 3 hit combo i never moved much so took more damage than i should have. I got a far better method of fighting now - wot with stun and backmoves.

Also i just don't give in easily - and after devoting all this time to getting to level 50 i sure as hell ain't gonna just give up quickly!

For one thing Samac gonna hit the floor for sure - and i should think way before i get to level 50 too hehe. Maybe i will be happy and retire after that - who knows - can't see it somehow though!

LOL are you saying that was the fight?

I never shadowzerg fyi, and I have never run into a solo sb since the last patch, yet it shows only one dead SB... I also dont acctualy recognise any of them other infils all very low RRs.

Also I am guessing that is at a Mile Gate, so kinda to be expected hence the I don't play inf anymore(Alchemy Bot). No fun in fighting like that.

Buffbot

Well fair play to him - but i will be unless things change - old story that. Anyways if he is an easy kill with me buffed i will leave well alone - don't see the point after dropping someone once or 2x and they are easy meat. Tis really why i concentrate on stealthers as i can't really be bothered with casters - though tbh tis a lot harder to kill them using la and is more interesting hehe. Puts them back on the list again - oops!

Personaly I would rather lose that 50 damage and have DF, I was probably using Long Dirks (cant remeber speed) but with a lvl 46 bot MOA2 I was probably swinging pretty fast.

I was the thrust infil that attacked Cylian. Hit for 208, seems pretty decent with Long Dirks tbh. We were both buffed and still as a thrust inf got an awesome stun move available, against unbuffed I think I have hit for near 300. And yea spam Garrote, but the snare effect of garrote is nice and when u drop a pot regen it doesnt really matter about style.

Each has different playstyle but cant honestly see why to give up a 9sec stun - lol saying that I often think of changing, tho purely cos i am really bored of my infil.
