Looks kinda like this i think

1000 + 40 = 1040
1040 + 1000 = 2040
2040 + 30 = 2070
2070 + 1000 = 3070
3070 + 20 = 3090
3090 + 1000 = 4090
4090 +10 = 4100

This is how the auther things you should do it, however..

'Take 1000' means -1000 so the real answer should be 2100

ps. I got them all right apart from the sum one as I got 2100 not 4100 (the correct answer according to maths, just not according to whoever made this )

Got them all right. The 4100 thing is embarrassingly easy... anyone who got that wrong really needs to brush up on their maths.
