How do you do this again...

I saw this on the 'another desktop thread' thread, where you could do something somehow that made your desktop/laptop look as if the screen was transparent when you took a picture of it, but I can't remember how it's done.

I'm sure Jonty mentioned it in the past too - does anyone know how it's done?

I expect you need to take a picture from exactly where you'll be viewing the screen, then crop it to be just the section that the screen would be in - I expect it'd be a bit of a challenge though :s

Sit where you normally sit, remove the monitor, take a picture, replace monitor, resize/recolour picture and set as desktop.

wow, I like it, but it also disturbs me slightly. I've had this pic for ages and it reminded me of those desktops somewhat.
