so err, anyone played the beta for it? i've heard some things about it being a pile of cack, but i've just had a gander at the screenies on the official site and it looks 5 star. just downloading the launch trailer for it now.

omg, just watched the official launch trailer, im getting it. looks simply amazing, never seen anything like it. plus you can be dragons, nuff said really.

it looks like a cross between EQ and.. phantasy star online, both of which are well good.. the fighting looks ace, the spells are amazing.. get shit like tornados comming down and deamons being summoned. plus, you can be dragons.

And it is good. Graphics will improve in time although they're already up to daoc standard and there's more content already which will obviously increase as time goes by.

And beta testing usually stops after a game is released so that account won't be working very well.

i played lineage 2 korean beta.. that had amazing graphics and wasn't as laggy as this, give english version imo

are there NO decent websites for horizons?? been looking everywhere.. stratics is crap coz its WELL out of date, they're still talking about release.. the official site is kinda useless, doesnt give u any information really.. and theres literally nothing else. i just wanna read about how the game works, like how classes work etc.

You get a few base classes, the main ones being Cleric, Warrior and Mage - although if you travel about enough you can find other base classes such as Monk.

You level up in these then as you advance enough you can change do different classes and/or combine several for advanced an class. For example - lvl 20 Warrior, lvl 15 Cleric will allow you to be a Paladin. You can combine Magery and Warrior to become a Chaos Warrior or some kind of Fighter that summons magic weapons who I can't remember the name of Also are Druids and Guardians who I think combine a little Fighter and Cleric and several types of Mage. I think if you combine Monk and Mage you can specialise and become things like Ice and Fire Disciples where you augment your kicks and punches with elemental damage.

You can level up in any base class you want, just join a school and you'll switch between, then when you have appropriate levels you can move to the advanced schools. You can only be a member of one adventuring and one trade school at a time though. Also remember item limits, if you have some armour that needs you to be level 11 then you switch class to something lower then you cannot use it till you reach 11 in that class or change back.

Certain abilities can and can't be transferred between schools also, these you'll have to find out but things like you can cast healing spells you learn from Cleric school when you are in Warrior school but you cannot use the insta-heal that Clerics get as that is a school specific ability.
In beta I was a level 18 Warrior/15 Cleric/12 Mage - didn't get the time to become Paladin

certainly does, thanks! one thing i was wondering, was how do you play dragons? do they go by the same lvl set as normal races? i cant imagine a paladin dragon tbh or do they have a totally different skill set?
