Got shitloads of movies from hols etc that I really should stick on disc before the PC dies again and this time around I cant save them (the wife still doesnt know how close that was!!)

Anyone able to recommend some decent software for editing n shizzle - Windows own I find a bit pants...

I use Adobe Premier 6.5 that I got with a video editing card I bought a few years back.

Premier can be a bit pricey but Adobe now make an Elements version that is a lot cheaper and probably just as good for home stuff. There is even an evaluation download for you to try.

I'd be interested to know what you think.

Just out of curiosity, will premier, or even the windows one, be able to load in a decoded VOB and allow me to cut it up for youtubeage?

I think it does, Sharma.

evzy: I hardly ever used Adobe, always stayed with Sony Vegas. Can be a pain to use at first, but once you get the hang of it, it's really easy.

The main limitation of the free version is you're only allowed 2 video tracks + 2 audio tracks, but for the price it's great.
