Where is everyone going on holiday this year? *grins* I am in an awesome mood as I have been organising holidays today.... Although our trip to my parents in two weeks was planned a while ago.

So come on indulge a lady, what are your plans for this year?

oohhhhhh both of you nice plans. Not been to South America yet it is on my list, however I have been to New York and I loved it. Although, given the choice I would go back to the Boston area :)

I write this from a hotel room at Butlins Bognor Regis - famed since George the Fifth was told he needed to recuperate there to which he replied 'Bugger Bognor!'.

3 nights with 3 young kids in one hotel room...

Like the old soldier when I meet St Michael at the Pearly gates I expect to get straight in to heaven because I've spent my time in hell!

As to the summer still not decided - might go to Disney World Resort in Florida but it would mean a long flight with 3 young kids...

Will probably be off camping/cycling oop north later in the year. I get abroad enough with work to allay any travel urges.

Cash wise I'm not sure I can risk doing anything too extravagant this year, I'm think I might gather a few good friends together for a long weekend and do something fun and different for once.

Where is everyone going on holiday this year?

I wish I were in a situation to take yearly holidays.

Last one was about a decade ago now. I don't get to take breaks, and can't afford holidays.

:(

Belgium for 4 days for a music festival...

Not exactly a typical holiday destination, and the line up at the festival is nowhere near as good as it was last year, but it'll still be great because the atmosphere is top class.

Belgium for 4 days is more like a prison sentence

How many prisons do you know of with 450 different kinds of beer, and some lush chocolate ?

Back on topic, I'm hoping to be moving house in the next few weeks, so probably won't be able to afford much of a holiday this year. Some relatives have a place in spain so may see if we can stay there for a bit later on, or just do a long weekend somewhere in blighty. Really enjoyed St. Ives last year, so may head there again if possible.

Well we are off to the sunny Isle of Man next week to visit my parents (I have not seen them since last September) and when we get back a weekend at the Efteling to relax and recover.

We go to Paris at the end of May for a couple of days.. if that doesn't pan out as it is a horribly busy time (auditors in and theses to be finished) then it will be Kolmardon in Sweden and Paris later in the year.

At the end of July I have just booked a week in Rome for us, right near Trevi fountain and the Spanish steps *grins*. Can not wait :).

4 nights at Euro Disney in June.

I was desperate to go as a kid, now I'm not so sure, but Esme'll love it, it's an 8th birthday present for her.

I may get away on the Broads for a few days in June, but that'll be a bit of a busmans holiday as I run a boatyard, and two of those days will be spent at a sort of boatie gathering advertising my wares....

Other than that, I would assume a few days in Newquay in the autumn again at my sister in laws on the clifftop.

Camping at the start of July. not sure where, possibly the lakes. Week away with the wife end of July, don't know where yet. touristy shit doesn't appeal.

I'll be lucky to go anywhere this year :(

I've been planning a trip from New York to Miami in a rented car, probably a Jeep, but there are complications that put me off.

To be honest, while I'm thinking of it, anyone who can give me more information would be pretty helpfull.

I'm driving to Norway some time this summer with a mate, or maybe two mates, not sure yet. That takes me through Germany, Denmark (already been there), Sweden (maybe), and Norway obv. Yay!
