I am looking to go on holiday with the girlfriend in August...

Probably have a limit of £300~/pp ..probably for a 7 days?

Anyone know/live in any nice places to go..no where too hot please as I am only British :(

I am quite interested in an activity holiday like bike riding/walking/kyacking etc..

Not really interested in a booze fest place but a good night life would be great.

Not really interested in a city break.

Newquay/Cornwall if you don't mind camping or caravan. Great place in the summer.

South America!
but then you will need more than 7 days.
its really cheap there though, and you can get some nice activies there ( trekking, walking, kayaking etc)

Same goes for Australia and New Zealand

For 7 days if you like beautiful nature you can try central europe, or in particular Switzerland.

I'd recommend Rhodes, or tbh any of the Greek Islands. Went to Rhodes last September and it was awesome - didn't go to Faliraki once (we stayed at Ixia on the western side) yet the atmosphere was great.

Lots of history there, plenty of watersports and the island is big enough to have lots of stuff going on.

I would NOT recommend Sharm el Sheikh. Its just not worth it - me and Lee went on holiday there for free and it still wasn't worth it, I just wanted my life back. The food, the people, the lack of anything to do, the rubbish, everything, it was just horrendous.

Greece was great though :D

Remember to duck when they tack. If its a Topper or other such dinghy its all to easy to get a Pole in the face...not talking about a meat pole neither.

I went to Malaysia last year, to a nice little island just southwest of Thailand. The island is called Lankawi, and it was just great. Quite a big island with lots of beaches, and a nice little city aswell.. Really hot during the winter/spring tho, so better go in just before christmas. Really nice people, and not as much tourists like some parts of Thailand.

Some of my family went to Cambodja ( I think its called that in English ) this year.. Small country near Vietnam, and they had such a great time. The country is yet to be wellknown to tourists but that is only good tbh, since then you can get away from all the 5star hotels with all All Inclusive and that shit and really get to know the country, and get to see "untouched" places.

Just an idea, but you just moved in, money must be a somewhat issue there too, so i'd say leave the vacation to next year and see if things work for you.

That being said, cheap amsterdam flight = good.

I am fine to be fair, I am good at managing my cash (form years of having fuck all) so I have enough spare for a holiday :p

Ok ok, just checking and giving the regular "heads up" speach :D

Probably better then spending a year cooked up in same flat anyway.

Turkey is relatively cheap to fly to and accomodation-wise - and the clothes/drink is extremely cheap (probably fake too but who gives a fuck).

What holiday providers have you been looking at? Wanting to sort out something like this for me and the lass - since I'll be getting a nice influx of cash starting from September.

So they have a 18+ rule or a 16+ rule?

I aimed to do this as she turned 18 but if that's the case - we'll have to wait as I turn 18 months after her =/

I reckon it could be 16, as ive flown with my mates when i was 17. Im also not sure, if flying with an 18 year old counts as being accompanied by an adult. Just check with the airline/holiday company, some even let you travel if you have a note from your parent.

Totally depends on the airline/company you pick, Bugz. I've flown alone a dozen times before I was 18. You should be fine.

@Gamah: Not sure on prices, but check Corfu/Canary Islands ;o
