By that I am of course referencing to holes! Not holy discussion so put away the pitch forks and torches.

Have over the course of the year, managed to put a 2foot hole in the main corridor in our flat. I devised a cunning mechanism to pull the plasterboard forward and poly fillered it to dry over night. The thing itself is sturdy and flat but the polyfiller marks, even after 3 harsh coats of paint still sort of show through.

Looking at it as you walk down the corridor, it's pretty much unnoticable but when you look head on, it's quite blatent that repairs have gone on

£200 to have fixed if the buildings management seem it unfit to stay as it is.

So heres the predicament...do I hope they don't see it and just not say anything or talk to them and explain what I've done to fix it.

Okay, am moving out tomorrow and need a decision. I know there are more bastards out there wanting to post that I deserve all I get and need to strip and offer immoral services for silence on their part but I would like at least one post slightly on topic for what you should do!

Well if you have time, I'd give it a sand with some sandpaper to smooth out the polly-bumps, then repaint over.
But as you're moving out today, I'd just leave it.
If you tell them, its probably insta £200, if you leave it theres 50/50 chance they'll charge you.
Will they even be able to charge you once you've gone as they won't know who's fault it was?

gotta fill in a whole in our house by next week. got my dad to put up some shelves and he managed to make a huge hole. getting him to buy some plaster stuff to fill it then doing the usual sanding and paint job. is right up by the ceiling though so isnt that obvious. if we get found out about it ive told my dad hes gonna have to pay out

Definitely keep quiet if you tell them you will have to pay for sure. I doubt they will even notice in an inspection.

i'd say nowt, if they see it they might even think it was offical repairs. But bet they won't cut you any slack for honesty. Last house I lived in at uni had a bunch of life roleplaying weapons stored in the basement, whole house was full of great holes where peeps had stuck foam-padded poleaxes, swords, etc thru the walls.

They'd just charge the whole flat for it so have to take responsibility really
