BERLIN, May 13 — Drinking beer could reduce the risk of cancer, strokes and heart disease, Germany’s brewers’ federation said Monday, hoping to inspire the country’s youth to head for the beer garden rather than the gym

This is good news

Mines a pint of bitter please

One of the Techs on my shift finishes today after 32 years service, so after work (2230) were going to the nearest pub for a right royal piss-up.:D

And, its not my turn to drive. double :D

And, its our last shift for 17 days off. triple :D

Look what I found:
National Rifle Association claims "Guns are good for you!"
Arkansas, May 16 - "Firing weapons at people reduces the risk of cancer, heart disease, brain clots and high blood pressure by effectively erradicating any and all effected organs," claimed a spokesperson for the NRA yesterday. During the launch of their "Lead not Dead" campaign, celebrities were encouraged to fire rounds of light ammunition into the crowds to demonstrate the "healing power of the bullet." Many remain sceptical, though the rally has so far been hailed a success, largely due to the fluttering banners and rousing music.
It's all quoted from here.

Heavy drinking could hasten the progression of cancer, according to experiments in mice carried out in the US.
While heavy drinking has been linked with the development of a number of cancers, there has been little research as to whether alcohol consumption has any bearing on the progress of the disease.

Now I'm confused

Hey maybe this is just a mice thing..woo hoo
