Amazing stuff - sent them from office to office using basic TNT courier - absolutely astounding in this day and age that such a mistake could be made!!

If any organised crime syndicate get hold of it they could make an absolute fortune plus it has all the birth details for all children under 16 in the UK - perfect for identity fraud - enough details to get passports etc. etc.

Its staggering!

Yet whenever I, who have paid tax all my working life, ask the council to do something as simple and inexpensive as fix the streetlight opposite my house so it doesn't make my bedroom bright orange at night (one example), I get completely ignored.

Father a couple of kids however, without a job, and they'll be chucking money at me left right and centre.

Something wrong with this country tbh. I'm glad I never voted this shower in in 1997.

Well - oddly enough you do have to be a child to receive child benefit - obviously you received it when you were a child...

It doesn't quite work like that though does it, the parents get the child benefit (amongst a shed load of other hand outs) to encourage them to sit on their arses all day watching Jeremy kyle and producing more future layabouts to claim even more money.

The whole system needs looking at.

Anyway, this isn't about lazy non productive leaches on the economy its about the people that are trying to bring in all this compulsive ID rubbish managing to create yet another security leak, the sooner they are removed from office the better.

If you rely on the government for financial help due to 'not being bothered' to work, regardless of you claiming JSA or not, then yes, imho, you are.

I personally think that with regards to benefits it should be a case of you can only take out what you've put in (or at least a lower percentage of). Once that runs out, you're on your own.

Anyway. I have 2 children and I know how much they cost. I'm assuming from your defensive stance you claim Family Tax Credit and Child Benifit only or smmt (Don't really know much about these things tbh).

It certainly is. But then again why expect competence from any area of government? Especially a government that fucks up payments to farmers, gets fined by the EU, and then pays that fine from monies sourced from other government departments, leading to job losses all around, and my local canal which was meant to be restored years ago gets pushed back yet again.

Write to them and put the word "COMPLAINT" in there somewhere in big lettering. Also any time you write to a council, send it recorded delivery or don't bother.
