Interested on what peoples opinions are of which is best?

ie. CS because of it's realism, or DM cause of it's fast paced fragging.

Comment away :)

The Half-Life forum is perfectly suited to this little quiz.

Hope you don't mind. The answer you're most likely to get in here is 'neither'.

I'm confused by you people.

Try to get some intresting debates going and this is the response I get.

Fair point, but we generally don't find Half-Life debates particularly interesting. That's why we hang around in the General Forum.

I appreciate your efforts, but stuff like this is better off in the HL forum.

So your saying HL is better than CS?

He's saying "Take it to the HL forum pages" he hasn't proffered an opinion on the CS/DM debate.

Me, personally, I bought hl and played it for a month, my pc crashed and I haven't been arsed to re-install it! :) hehe *must* get round to doing that!

Do you think he is likely to offer an opinion? I personally would be very interested to know.

What crashed your computer btw? Maybe I can help, I know a little bit about computers. I have a Megadrive too (very rare here).
Perhaps I could talk to you on my webcam and help fix your broken computer?

good thread

being a quake III llama I cant really get to grips with the feel of CS. I've installed and uninstalled it countless times and I do OK on servers but again it feels a little dodgy to me.

SOF2 on the other hand is looking promising if for no other reason than the fact that its on the Q3 engine :)

Heh. What doesn't use the QIII engine, these days? Jedi Knight II is pretty spinky at the moment, and I always come back to Day of Defeat 2.0.

Interestingly, I looked at the licensing ID have for their Q3 engine, it was ver interesting.

Yush! Shame you can't get the same effect in multiplayer, but sabering people's limbs off in SP is worth dipping into now and again. :)
