Hibs Exploiting LD Bug Needs To Be addressed Now!

I doubt that there's an in-game hack that makes players LD, however, as someone already noted earlier in the topic, you might've LD'd because your computer spent too much time loading the hib models and sounds.

How much ram does your computer have? If it's more than 512, set precaching to the lowest level, if it's less than 512, turn it off otherwise your computer may spend a lot of time swapping. If it's 1024 or more, put it to full. Make sure that you defrag regulary. Also, set the swap file to 1.5 the size of your ram and have the same minimum and maximum size so Windows doesnt constantly resize the swap file. To do this, press WindowsSign+Pause, point Advanced, Settings button in the Performance Frame, 'Advanced' Tab, Virtual Memory frame: 'Change' button, Custom Size, set the min and max size to the same number (1.5*total RAM).

It's also not a bad idea to get CacheManXP, google for it.

Anyway. For some reason my computer has to load a bit longer when hibs are inc than when mids are inc. Maybe it has something to do with fragmentation, as you seem to meet mids more frequently in Emain than hibs.

However this ld thing had happened to me too, 3 days ago when i got lded at hmg odins 4times in 15minutes. I got so pissed, i loged.
It might be a server thing maybe...
Besides 4 stealthers dont need a bug/hack to kill 1 person. If this had happened to a whole fg and the 4 stelthers got them, it would seem more reasonable.
As far as i am concerned m8, there is no way we could or would do such a thing.
And above all, i dont think our Guild has ever done something to harass other players. In my opinion, since you wanted to make a post like this, you could post as a question and not as a fact.

You got pretty lucky last night, you got us after a fight(no poisons), scattered all over hmg, no much endurance, mezzed one, zephyr another, som proc went up (ranger hit you for 100 with bow :eek2: ) and you doing 600+ damage per hit and having IP active...
I guess it would be nonesence to loose.
However great battle m8...

I´m going LD as well on many different places...be classic, TOA or RvR
Had to blame the game, never thought of blaming anyone from other realms to couse it (damn should´ve thought of that)

Well heres what i found out when i began to play a bit around with a digital camcorder, and transfer it to my pc :
There was a big frameloss on the primary drive, and no frameloss on secondary drive, did some testing with the drivemanufactor´s software and actually it said : no problems with the primary drive but my secondary drive (wich had no frameloss) was corrupted.
Did some further testing, and overall transfer rate on the primary drive (where Daoc is running from) had some serius problems, wich is actual why i go ld (to much activity on drive couses a total crash)

my drives are "only" 5 months old SATA160

i´d suggest running some tests

i was fighting a bard last night .... and well was doing ok ( resisted mezz =) )
and then i suddenly started going LD ... however i did come back but only to find myself on 1/4 health and the bard kicking my ass.....
I started to fight back melee, and then again went as if to go LD....
this time i didn't yet again .. was on 5% hp .. then LD time again .. this time i did... and ended back at goth when i logged on

They are a grp of 2 NS and 2 ranger to my knowlegde from the same guild <Hellenic Phallanx>. To those that I have named and who are fair and honest players I appolagise to those that are not I hope you get what is coming!

Hellenic Phallanx are a guild of nice people, they arent mad powergamers, or people I would ever accuse of cheating, if you played with them a while you would realise how silly this accusation is.

I think you owe all these people and their guild a big appology.

Too many people are damn quick to accuse, blame and flame somebody on these forums (ala Xevius) and when it has been proved that nothing was done wrong or actually happened, an apology never comes. Is it some peoples way of saying "screw that, not gonna make myself look a twat". Because, i think it just makes you look foolish and immature. I am sure lots of people here, if they get something wrong irl apologise....so why not ingame or on forums?.
