Hibs at Thidranki

The Hibs are knocking at the door of Thidranki at the moment (without any success ;)) but when I saw that I wondered if they ever build a ram before:

Bet they made it just so they could tell people - a ram doesn't mean we can take the keep

hey that's nothing :) before that one, one was made in teh middle of hpk :p

now, another three rams down (first successfull, second, siege ram built by me (i had nothing to do with the others btw) was bugged or something, being right next to the inner doors (as in touching them) yet still flagged as too far away to hit them. third, worked but was made with oaken wood so wasnt much good, made another group of ram people, that worked but didnt get repaired for some reason so we lost it while the inner gates were at 40%, after that i logged once dead because there were albs waiting until we got the doors open to zerg us, which makes the raid pointless considering we'd getkilled thanks to the 50,000,000,000 tanks who were doign nothing but hitting the doors for about 5 damage which we were having guard pops, aoe mezzed, aoe DD's, dots, arrows and everything coming from mids at the mb, and albs off to the side, oh and then someone yells you've fucked it again arrow even though i hadnt had anything to do with it previously, very nice,

basically i can't be arsed, there was so much whining and complaining in the chat group, so much crap and people spamming orders for no reason, then the albs turn up and decide to wait till we've done the work so they can steal the raid, basically sod it, you can keep the fort.

and no it wasnt my raid, butyou dont have to be running it to see how much of a waste of time it was. and it wasnt down to the raid leaders being crap either :(

i just want the times back when you could go on a keep raid that was purely for fun and therefore had no stress even for the leaders :) it was just a sort of "gank the keep!" attitude and everyone had fun.

trust me, you do NOT want to have seen the chat group today... not fun at all.

Ahh the days of ck raids in Thidranki... nothing more funnier then listening to a bunch of under experienced people telling people what to do :p

It was a hibbie keep raid CG that persuaded me not to bother with thid anymore as it happens. :rolleyes:

I just went for the level to 50 and go to emain approach. Though so far all I've done is nuke a couple of albs in DF. I burned my entire power bar on one, pity I wasn't not higher level really.

heres a tip, walk up to the doors and take 3 steps back from them in the center. This should give you the room required to make the ram. Putting the ram up at the doors fails becuse the targetting is slightly offset from the center of the ram, so putting the middle of the ram against the target means its gonna be out of sight all the time.

Also standing close to the doors can sometimes mean those inside can target you or the ram, so once it down, take a few paces back, theres quite a range from where you can control it.

If you need the praccy, and can get to them unganked, try the rams out on a mile gate. Hadrians wall is often empty, and is usally the safest place to do this. Having said that youll have albs waiting for you now hehe

Aww, well, that evening was a pain :p But what the heck, ppl need to learn and thats why BG's are here for. Anyway, even with the keep raid failed, I still had a lot of fun that evening, thanks to Songs and Vodka's alt ;)

I would like to thank the red Troll ( a berzerker i think), he was pretty cute and our fights were neat.

And, to you, mr red Armsman, try getting me without your sorceress harem and infils in your pocket ;) <kiss sweetly>
