Superb attempt on the midgard relics tonight, was an awful lot of fun fighting and a very well organised attack. I dont know who was in charge (Censi?) but it really was good and had a lot of us panicing at the speed the keeps were being taken. Credit where it's due.

P.S. am I the only person that crashed both times the forces met at grallarhorn? must need a new hamster in my PC.

Didn't seem all that well organised from this side I must say - after trying to keep 100+ hibs together, herding cats seems like a walk in the park.

And lag at the relic keep didn't help, but it was those evil handbag chucking runies that were our worst enemy, and after all the trouble we went to to get rid of the uber guards as well.

I didn't crash but I did get a major graphics bug while driving down for attempt number 2.

Still grats to the mids for getting so many to the relic with only an hour or so's warning (why weren't you all in pvp, eh?), and big grats to the hibs for keeping it together to get there.

But you cant take a relic down with 100 mid's inside no matter how many keeps you take.

But good try m8's and well done to all the Middys that fought tooth and nail to retake the keeps/defend them and defend gralla.

Think we had over 100 middies in Grallarhorn, and the lag was truly insane, fps was below 1 I think

Anyways, nice try hibbies, second time would have been close if we didnt get all keeps but 1 back I think.

But can I just ask...is 1 am CET a Thursday considered Primetime?

More than couple, and I will know better if I decide to take the plunge and lead another one, although I daresay someone else will be able to do better.

Next time we go for a defended keep we need a better strategy when we get there, gtaoe owned us.

believe it or not it was started at 9pm gmt. delays caused a wait of about 1 hour during which a good few hibs actually left (yes there would have been MORE of us) and we finally got started some time around 10ish i think. so phear us if we actually get going on time next time around

great defence at grall though, the uber guards dropped like they were made of paper but those gtaoe's from you lot.... nice going.

know what you mean, i spent a total of 3 seconds at grall actually near the gates. after that i ran back down and just assisted with guards and trolls

only took me three seconds to realise that the area near the gates = gtaoe death , surprising how hard a lvl 41 can get hit by what seemed to be two dozen gtaoe casters

Well by my reckoning we arrived at grallerhorn not long after 11:30 GMT which is pretty much prime time. Still we should have started earlier, taking the keeps took a wee bit longer than intended (some of em had pretty bad ass doors, and our smaller groups didn't manage to knock over fens and hlid, meaning we had to come out of our way to get fens, and just leave hlid altogether.

Both the Hibs and Mids worked well in attack and defense.
Primetime or not it was a relic raid and we defended it well with the resources we had there at the time. got to love Runemasters. Nice one there guys I heard the nukes as I was shooting at the Hibs.

The Hibs made one big mistake that I thought the Albs would exploit the most. With nearly all your realm in Midgard this left your keeps very vunerable to attack, very surpprised that the stinking Albs never thought to take them and their power relic back.

we had people checking dagda etc.... i think that if there'd been any real danger you'd have seen half our realm try to get through the yggdra/uppland border gates on their way back to hibby for defence

Actually a few albs did make a half-hearted attempt at dagda, but we all know that the alb power relic is the least defensible in the game.

(Excalibur on the other hand is a very tough nut to crack).

I think this figured into why they didn't go for it as much as they enjoyed holding up our reinforcements in Odin's - albs would (quite sensibly) much rather us not have any spell bonus than let us take 2 relics, even if they have their own back.

That was an excellent evening tonight. I don't agree at all with the original context in which we took those power relics, but damn did I have fun defending tonight!

Hats off to you Hibs out there tonight. From my POV it looked like one of the best planned attempts I've ever seen. All but one of our keeps down in not time at all, then on to Grallar to put up an amazing fight (even in the lag).

Was truely a sight to see the death spam constant all night and read /as to hear of huge skirmishes here there and everywhere. That sort of RvR is definately the type I'd hope for when I first signed my account up. Please plan more raids if it's that sort of action we see from you guys (even if you take them, I'll be damn happy of a good nights' action like that).

Yes that GTAOE did save our asses Myself in the form of a
RM lvl 40 i did 50+ dmg alone on every poor hib that came to near. I logged my rm because my skald wouldnt do SHIT here

Died 2 times from a lethal ae dot uhmm wasn nice at all.


Great job and mostly spirit from the hibs(i was a bit worried when u tokk all the keeps that easy)

Aye well done 2 the hibbys but our crack on dag da a few weeks back when we got to 50% on the last door before getting stomped and our 2nd door on excal to 5% with 40 peeps was better

And no Alb's 2am on a friday night/satday morning is not late, 2am on a monday is

Same here I logged my Healer and logged in my RM only lvl 38 but still i did about 50 i damage all hits not much but still I did distract u.

I GTAOE as much as I could and put out my target area long before the hibs came or else it would had been to hard to do so in all the HUGE lags.

I saw more then 20 RM inside the door all ready for GTAOE.

Even if I had bad lag I got some good RP and looking forwards to meet u again.

Hats of to all Hibs for good raid and hats for all mids that defended the relic with their lifes.

Plus I'm getting seriously pissed off at some stupid bug that keeps nerfing our guild rank privileges, even though they appear to be exactly the same from /gc info.

It's not fun to log on during a relic attempt only to find out you have /as speak but not /as hear

LOL, the lag was so bad for me that I didn't even notice that the Mids were all round me.
I just sat there regening my Bard, I just got one frame of a Troll right in front of me.
Excellent fun and thanks to the organisers, but I'll have to forget relic raids until i get an uber pc,

Yeah was a good attempt but the lag at the Relic keep was EVIL! .. Green || RED || RED <-- that was my perf meter at the keep.

1st time round I did get heals and res in and a few dot's. but number's and lag overwealmd (sp?) us and after release we thought why not go again as the keeps are already taken.

Grats to the mids of swift keep retakes as them uber guards on our 2nd attempt really liked to hit me.

Was very hard to target ppl even using the mini grp box and also getting mana regen in

and yeah the GTaoe wasn't alot of dmg about 40-50 but it interuped my casting.

GG hibs and thanks to Armolas for trying to keep the zerg together..

Question Please

Do the Catapults (trebwahtevers) we all use to plevel lowbies have a longer range than gtaoe...Trying to think offensively...6 or 7 'pults lobbing firey death every 30 seconds....keep the runnies inside occupied??

Further away than the GTAOE means you get to attack at leisure whilst they get interuppted.

(It may not work .... But i LOVE playing with those 'pults

I made it to the gate of realm keep just before our ram (Cough) went up...The amount of damage I took in about 5 seconds was like fighting the glacier giant!!! (one Dead Gimp!!!)
