Hibernian guilds - about time we helped each other out

I've noticed an awful lot of 40+ people having a lot of trouble getting grouped, I'm not there yet so I'm not talking about me!

Seems to be a very enclosed culture in some guilds, not wanting to group outside of thier "own". Come on people the more we help each other the stonger the whole realm gets. You might take someone with you from another guild one day and find that the next your in a group with all thier guildmates when yours arent around.

When I get to 40+ I'll be mad at anyone that's still doing this so get it sorted or you'll have a pissed of lurk chewing your ankles!

the middies help each other

the albs help each other

about fecking time we did this too!

This is not an official statement from Lliad Ddraig, I let our GM Ceix handle those, but still...

There's very few people outside LD I trust as much as my fellow guildmates. I blame 40+ levels of grouping experience with the same boring dudes :p I know it sounds like bragging, but it takes one seriously fecked up pull to get more than two of the group killed... Guess that's the reason I'm a bit picky with the company...

Back to the helping, yepp, when we graduate a couple of the more hasty ones from our ranks (ie. they finally hit lvl 50) we sure can use some extra people helping to get a group full. Drop me a note and I'll try to arrange you a place in the BEST exp group you've ever seen  [/paid commercial]

just like brennik stated, been exping with the same faces now for over 40 levels, and im not easily dragged into a group that i dont knwo anything about, i dont like getting wiped, and in a familiar group that happens seldom, cos everyone knows how others play...

about the helping other ppl, we have had guild groups and then took some random ppl in, worked fine since majority still is the ppl we know

you being a stalker class doesnt make it any easier, pbaoe style exping is the fastest way to go, and i really cant see space in that sort of group for weakish stalker class :/

Pfft, I've had various rangers and nightshades tank in pbaoe groups. It works, ask Hing, Trapp and Kirian. For finliaths the problem is still going to be level, "second"-class tanks need to be lvl 45+ for it to work reliably.

erm actually I wasn't talking about me :)

I was talking about the 40-45 people that currently never seem to go up a level, get frustrated and either make an alt here or move to prydwen. It weakens the realm, when if they hung around and got those levels we'd all feel the benefit

Problem is people get spoiled by exp and if exp is slower than what they're used to then the group considered gimped.. Even though some classes (rangers/nightshades) are probably getting faster exp than they are used to (and safer too)

And pbaoe works with any class tanking (even mages if you got a decent warden and healer but I don't recommend it ;) )
If a warden can tank it, so can any other class :)
Heroes just give a nice HP buffer so the healer doesn't have to pay that much attention to them..
So please don't hesitate to ask rangers/nightshades into your group if you can, will keep your healers awake :)

I try to help out whenever I can.. Exp is only important to me when I need about 5% of it more to level :)

We had some of this problem in BoH;

We had a few highlevels (ie above lvl35) , then a few of us that wasnt that high tried to changes things in the guild.. For more grouping inside the guild and maybe help ppl lvl some. Then suddenly the highlevels leave the guild. So we then was without high levels to help us.
Then after a while we got some more highlevels again and they leave for another guild, this was known when they joined tho so not that bad. So BoH had same problem again..

So we in BoH decided to freeze recruiting for a while to lvl up the lower lvls in the guild. Taking more guild hunts and having some more fun with all kind of ppl :)

So far we have had RvR training with lowlevels, CM is done with low levels. Some of us feel we have regained the guild feeling again

But I also support out of guild groups, they are nice and u get to know alot of ppl about ur lvl. I tend to get invited into groups that are higher than me :D

I group alot with CBH and CF and alot of other guilds so I dont think the problem is that ppl dont group outside guilds , but that it maybe they only stay with a group they know. As a warden i get ALOT of private messages , asking me if i have a group . I say yes to the first that asks :) So i have grouped with alot of different ppl, sopme groups are bad and some are good.
But i have never found a player that i wont group with again, it is just the mix in the group that is somewhat bad.. Maybe a tank dont know how to keep the healer alive but then again i take that as my job as a warden so np..

So get out there group and have fun!! It's only a game. (not when i have 5% left to lvl tho ;)) We wardens tend to get grumpy when dying on the last bubble lol :p

I have a new respect for Wardens. Grouped with a few over the weekend and they held their own and contributed with that funky oil bubble thing... :D:D:D:D

I think it is sometimes harder to group at higher lvls.. perhaps because I am an Eldrich or cause no one checks to see if there are anyone flagged LFG. :)

I've never ever been in a single guild group (my guild is tiny, and mostly lower than me anyway) and i can say I have probably grouped with nearly every player around my level - there may be a few ppl I haven't grouped with, a few Lliad Ddraig ppl maybe, but with nearly every other guild out there.

I have a regular group most evenings, consisting of people from different guilds, but we play together so much we may as well be a guild group I suppose, although we are hardly exclusive. Part of the problem from your persective may be that although we never refuse a request from a nightshade if there is a place open, no one ever says "hey we really need a shade here."

As a mentalist I get asked to group a lot, both from people I do and don't know, not as much as a healer class I imagine (and nowhere near as much as a bard), and guild rarely comes into it, there are few enough people around my level that I know which people to avoid, not which guilds to avoid, and I think the same goes for most 40+ players out there.

from a NS point of view I can understand why people dont really see a need for us in a group, we dont bring anything unique. Problem is we can do everything that other classes so but none of them as well.

What I'd really like to see are the 40+ people all busy in groups and not sitting around, when this happens the temptation to play an alt or even worse on another server/realm kicks in and that's the last thing we need.

I know lots of people at 40+ that are simply so pissed off with trying to level that they've given up and now play on alb/mid on prydwen :( that's good people that should be with us!

Help each other out guys, if you've got 1 or 2 slots free send a tell to someone in a guild and ask them to shout in guild chat "anyone needing a group lvl 40+". That way any /anons will see that.. maybe fill up your group and make things go a lot smoother ;)

P.S. at level 36 I've only grouped for less than 1 level so I'm not doing this to get myself a group. I'd just like to see people at 40+ happily XPing and not bending my ear about being bored lol

what i meant with the stalker stuff was that if i am going to make a group, i start thinking "lets take a warden, maybe bard if needed, a druid, couple mages and rest tanks"..

and when the group is assembled, the tank spots go to heroes, wardens, bm's, champions, if those ppl cant fill the spot then you might get a stalker class who you know can do the job

only times stalker classes have been in my group was when
1) i got invited to a group with them
2) i was in a group with room, and we took them in

stalker classes just arent the 1st pick for an exping group

our only guild ranger is in the group regularly, but if she isnt around, the pick for the spot isnt going to be a stalker if "real" tanks are available
