I love u! I love u love u love u!

The people on there are lovely really helpful, there seems to be a stronger feeling of community, not like we are high u are low attitude I have encountered on Excalibur Albion, and generally the server is so much more fun!

So fook it I am gonna port over to Hibernia on a more permanent basis now

Just wanted to see anyone elses thoughts on Hibernia as a realm on Prydwen?

Cheers guys for making me feel welcome

Well, I recently started an alt on Alb/Exc but gave up and got bored... so today when I got bored of seeing my xp bar creep up like a sloth I made an alt on Hib/Pryd... and the people were so much more helpful! A couple of enchanters buffed and ran off, and another one lurked round buffing all the lowbies in sight for about half an hour! That was extremely useful I have to say - got me up to lvl 6 in no time at all.

So yes, I would say Hib/Pryd's the best place to be, low lvls or high.

DAoC is my first MMORPG and I have played on Hib/Pryd since release.

Granted there are a few idiots, but 99% of the people are gems, helpful and fun to play with. Stick with Hib and don't be depressed by the lower numbers and levels compared to Midgard. It's a great realm with lots of nice people and we are beginning to get organised - we even managed to take one of our keeps back last weekend (even if it was for only a few hours).

If you ever need any help give me a send - if I can't help I'm sure someone in my guild can - good luck out there :)

Hmmm, am thinking of deleting my hunter on Pryd/Mid and moving to Pryd/Hib.

What is most needed in your realm??

People!!!

Any class tbh - I think we just need bodies atm - More healers/bards are always useful - but then I would imagine more of any class is useful at the mo.. choose what strikes you as being the most fun!

Well, tbh LegoPirate's right, we need more of any type of character - Wednesday we had druids and bards coming out of our ears, the day before there were almost none of us... so take your pick.

Although for RvR our most pressing need is high lvl nightshades to give Zanzara a hand. But then any character made now isn't going to be sneaking up the walls and backstabbing lvl 50 chars for quite some time :)

Well...

...and as it is some are not too happy in Hibernia, so you may see some more 40+ leaving soonish. No mistakes: I think we are the best Daoc server in Europe and of course our realm is the nicest on the server ;) but still my playing fun has degraded to almost 0 over the last weeks. Event thingie gave me a boost, but all in all I am kinda frustrated. The low numbers make grouping kinda hard and RvR wont be fair till 1 or maybe 2 months from now... hmmm. I sure wont delete my char here to play elsewhere but dont really want to play much at all now. German servers are kinda lame for community and my french... oh well :D... SO maybe I just had my hopes too high.. or just met the wrong ppl for the last 3 weeks... or.. i don't know. Maybe all takes a turn for the better. Let us hope and see

I think most are going thru the 40es blues. Just lay back, relax, take a strong dose of your favourite recreational drug and create an (hibernian) alt. Or subjugate people to silly whims. The XP churning model that DAoC tends to impose upon us can get quite lethal, so better just jump out of the endless recursion for a while :)

I agree 100 % Lonewolf.
I have been playing on Excalibur, Albion since DAOC was launched in Europe, and recently made an alt char on Prydwen, Hibernia.
The first thing that I noticed that people are extremly kind & friendly, buffing you, talking to you, and helping you in any way they can.

I am thinking of playing my Sorc less and level a few characters there, would be real fun if we could help them gain a bit of balance in the RvR power.
Some of my friends on Albion also made characters there, and more will follow soon ;)

You sure that wasn't me?

If I get bored of soloing, or am waiting for a group, I usually find my keyboard on some sort of autopilot leading me to the ELD Parth Farm, and I stick weapon buffs and Dam. Shields on everyone who can use them, or stick around MM or Ardee buffing the lvl 1-4's so they can hit lvl 5 in half an hour, lol even did this for 8 hours last week (yip, was at 41.5, and seriously bored).

You're right, Hibernia/Prydwen is a very good place to be in, everyone is helpful (sorry if I haven't been helpful to you recently, been doing ALOT of RvR and talking to people in-game, can get drowned with stuff sometimes lol).

All come to Hibernai/Prydwen, where the Beetles are tougher than the Bandits in Albion :)

As for high level grouping, a lot of people are now getting to the 40 stage (including myself :p ), so if you're willing to group with other people you shouldn't have that much of a problem to group.

I have a lvl 34 thane in prydwen, and I'm seriously considering ditching him for hibernia

You may think RvR is bad foy you guys.... imagine it for us.... as soon as more than 10 albs arrive in emain, word goes out, and withing 15 minutes, there's 10 lvl 40+ chars sitting at alb pk
Even when most albs were orange-green, with 1 red, 1 purple, and a few greys

I have had 1 good RvR experience - rest have been the high levels ganking eveything that moves..

ofcourse, i'm not having a go at high lvl midies, just saying how things are

Am also alting in Hibbie land :)

Myself and my partner just made little Luriken Eldritches to help redress the balance on Prydwen a little....but we may need to grow beyond level 5 to be of any use :)

I think Pryd/Hib is the alt of choice for Alb/Excal people these days I know of a lot playing around on it - and just think how well we'll know those pesky Albs for RvR

Its a shame my Thuergist is on Prydwen and I have Mid alts on Excal. I would really love to start an Hib alt on Prydwen and help out but my Thuerg is too far gone to swap now and I have a decent guild. I played a Hib alt in beta and it was alot of fun although there weren't that many english speakers when I played there which made me level my scout more and neglect Hib even though Hib was more fun. To be honest playing my alts the Midguard realm kind of depresses (lack of sunlight :) ) but Hib on Excal seem to be in better shape so they don't really need me. Ahh well, at least I can recommend Hib/Prywden to any newcomers or friends on Excal looking to start alts.

/emote jump on bandwagon

Me too!!

I wasn an Alb on Excal for ages, so I decided to make a Hib alt for a little while....

Now I'm tempted to delete all my Alb characters, so that they dont take up space on the quick start menu...

But, as I dont know Hibernia very well, could anyone reccommend a good hunting spot for a lvl 7 Nightshade? Or a lvl 5 druid?

In the meantime.... GO TREE-HUGGERS!! WOO!!

Machiavelli - Go to Mag Mell and get kill tasks from either the guardian at the North tower, Meara by the south tower, or Fagan in the main building. You'll soon learn the mobs in the area after doing a few of those :)

I think that the feeling that it's 'us' the Hibbies, against the larger two realms brings us closer 2gether...

Pft, it is of course everyone on the mids ;)

Weird thing, all the ppl on Pryd/Alb seem to have alts on Excal/Hib. Hibs and Albs just work well in harmony I guess :p

And lo Loney ya little git, looks like I'm gonna have to be killing you now :)

There is a real sense of communiy on alb ive found too. After reaching the terrible 40's and witnessing the break up of my guild, I was looking for a new start. Along with several of my friends, i started an alt on midgard/excal, but after meeting 2 complete arseholes in the space of an afternoon i decided to come home to pryd.

after a few hours i was doing the usual rounds in mithra, i was greeted with the loverly sight of our newest member to the lvl50 club, a wizzie called mortisha. she buffed and rebuffed our group for the best part of an hour, helping us reach lvl10 in record time.

the fact is that on mid/excal i met 2 morons in about 2hrs of play, i wouldnt meet 2 in a weeks worth of play on pryd.
( i dunno perhaps i was unlucky, but its really clouded my opinon of that realm on that server)

I play on hib pry all the time and would have to agree about the friendship, and great community here. Id also agree with cheesey_pipps about mid excal started a female shadowblade there, met a complete idiot shouting very sexist things to me and another female blade, all i can say is lucky i didnt feel like sending my log to right now lol

There are idiots on every realm on every server just dont let those people get to you im pretty sure the nice players outnumber these 10 fold.

Hehe, true - I ran into my first idiot the other day. Actually two of them, cos it seems they always play together. Loot hogging and spending most of their time afk, for which the rest of the group suffered... still, these people can be avoided most of the time.
