I'm kinda enjoying it, solo 'chanter is fun nowadays, in any given situation. ml9 pet + brittles + DD mines make stealther hunting fun, almost tempted to start using a few SL items hehe
full group rvr is still possible, there's still the groups out there to meet, you don't need to go near the hotspots if you don't want, and ambushing groups going to them is fun. Working with an organised /bg is good too, either as part of an opted group or with 'teh zerg'.
Probably just me, but I have never had an issue with any sort of playing style in daoc (opted, random, solo) so I can usually find something to keep me occupied, like, as above, stealther hunting. Only thing I don't like is waiting around, suckage :s
Usp the waiting around is one of the biggest problems of NF, no enemies except at towers/keeps etc, emain was way better at that, always something to do in OF there, while those interested in keep takes could do that.
NF has been horribly boring and doesn't make it better the good mids quit too.
Meant the waiting around before leaving ligen/cain
At least now I can port to DC and either stick around the bridge areas or grab a boat to Bled/Beno. Getting to a hotspot is now faster once you actually move, but the waiting around for groups/people/etc. is still the same as it was in OF, now you don't have to do it and can run around in Emain while people are afk in Ligen, then rejoin them via teleport system.
