Hib/Alb Yggdra?

having my main in midgard I have hunted in Yggdra alot and alot of other people in the 20-30 range do too, anyone who hunts there knows that an hour rarely passes when you don't see/here about an invader/group of invaders (thats why I hunt there so often :D). My question is, what is the hib/alb equilvilant of Yggdra (lvl 20-30 frontier hunting ground)? I've tried Snowdonia and got so close to the gate that I got nuked by the master wizard , but maybe that was because midgard owned the keep nearby at that time. So anyone know of these places, it'd be nice to sink my teeth into so albs or hibs that don't con purple once in a while

Thanks, think'll try that later tonight :D
I think Mythic should make the frontiers alot more attractive to players to lvl in, I mean, whats the point in having mobs there if all they do is end up as sword fodder for some bored keep raiders or kill all the low level players who go to the enemy frontiers for the experience?

Not many player xp in the frontier in hib it is too dangerous hunters and there 90% of the time so if u go out and u r not 40ish lvl u die most ppl xp in the dungouns till 40 ish lvl and now we have a good range of ppl to lvl with power lvl in the high lvl area bog and sheeore.

Dont bother going.

The alb equivalent is Forest sauvage, you need to pretty much just keep heading south through the pennines, but it is very rare that any albs are xping there..so not really worth the risk of travelling through pennines.
Its only really the 40+ people who xp in albion frontier zones, everyone else stays in the main realm

We have sense, no albs complaining about enemies exp killing them :)

Frontier is a really nice place to xp as the mobs are unitemised so you gain a lot of cash. That makes the fine alloy/mithril items (Carbide I belive is the hib version) that you need to be strong in the higher level dungeons much easier to get. I guess u can get drops in vendo, dungeon near connla and alb equivalent but its nicer to be able to pick and chose what you want especialy if its player crafted.

I guess you mids are unlucky then since you have the better exp spots outside your bk :)

Well Albion has 2 lvl 20-35ish dungeons that are un-itemised, so if we want cash we go there.

about ppl not going to their frontier cos invaders will be there.. thats the whole point!
Its more fun to be against people than mobs.
even at lvl 20 i used to xp in yggdra in the hope of some rvr action, even if sometimes i am 1 shot by a stealther sometimes

If all the mids stopped gonig to yggdra to xp, a lot of fun would be lost.
i dont get why albs are chickens and dont also do the same :D
Hibs arent as bad, but still nothing like middies for adventures in the frontiers.

heh jus tsaw something in another post, made me think of something else.
Being in yggdra from 20+ is very nice training for rvr later :)
Tho they may die a lot, they get to see what tactics are used and stuff, and get to try things out sometimes.
Also get to see how high lvl players are dealt with by high lvl middies.

Ofcourse lots of players have alt high chars.. but for new ppl to the game, xping in yggdra is very good and maybe what albs/hibs miss (hibs not quite as bad)

Hunting in the frontier and what it is like:

Middies:
Even if 4 full groups of 20s-30s get wiped by one of those Hibbie killer teams we just go back wipe them and continiue exping.

Hibbies:
If I fire only 1 arrow in Cruachan Gorge or Mt. Collory that's most of the time enough to render that area Hibbie free. I hereby call you Cowards. Even my little brother at his 25 expieriences that!

Albions:
I think if a Hunter spots something moving in the Albion frontier it's either a mob or a Hibbie. I have never seen any Albions there. You ARE cowards!

The frontier was a our better exp places back in 1.36 but now in 1.45 its not really all that good, we got much better exp sources inside the realm, its not really our fault is it now?

It's funny that Jeriraa is calling us all cowards because he can't find and one shot kill grey/green cons in our frontier exp areas.

There's lots of RvR all over the place, don't complain when you don't see Alb and Hib grey/green cons everywhere. Just accept that we don't need the frontier to level and go to Emain or something.

Is it all about exping? I tell you something... I have been like 30-34 for 1 month now. I don't really care for exping. You know why? I have fun were I stand. Whats the point in weeks of boring exping and then going to RvR as a complete noob with no idea whats going on out there? By exping in frontiers you can exp and learn basic RvR tactis. Beside that is alot more fun than continiously mob farming.

My respect to those brave Hibernians who not run away and try (and nowadays even manage) to find/kill me. You are the ones that make me like this game. There is nothing more thrilling than sneaking up a group of orange/yellow cons, picking one of them and then trying to get away alive.

Edit:

@ Cereb - I don't have to kill grey or green cons and I usaly don't. I got my brother for this. They con yellow/orange to him and he does a pretty good job taking them. /salutes Vernando

The albion frontier is crap for anyone below about lvl 30/35.
Sauvage is too easy to get lost in, and nothing good drops, and its just an awful place, full of trees, just looks the same all over, at least in Yggdra it looks different in places, and you can easily find your way around.

Snowdonia has some 20ish lvl mobs, but mostly 35+ mobs, it has some good drops, and I do go there sometimes...even had some GM's come to my group and had a little event, but there was only 3 of us, and we were lvl 38, so too low to carry the event on.

Pennines is strictly 40+, unless you get a full group, or are on a guild hunt, some very good drops there, and is pretty much always someone xping there.

Hadrians Wall..well some nice mobs there, but not worth the risk of walking through Pennines for them.

we've hunted ellylls a few times now
the main problem was Mids owning forts next to our good exp camps

besides Goblins are much better exp

nobody seems to listen about our middies getting training from being in yggdra the whole time.. Unless u start using hib and alb frontiers, u will always be owned by mids
If organised a group of 20's can take out a lvl 40..

Hadrians is easy to get to btw, just follow the edge. I did a few lvls there.. awesome xp, every mob has full bonus on it, and u have nobody interfering.
Pennine is also nice, but u do need to own the keeps there unfortunately.

You sure about that, I thought they would miss every hit, and one pretty much be 1 hit killed one by one.

hehe fogot about that :) crossing pennines is hell :)
Lots and lots of agro mobs(Invisable and nuke in combat..), and theres no path so even albs have trouble.

This has to win the "most-unthoughtful-comment-of-the-day" award... I mean, just because you don't have so low-levels to kill in our frontiers instantly labels us as cowards? (yes lowbies, because in 1.36 we went to exp at those frontiers starting at around level... 12-15)
Like Wels has said, in this 1.36 there was good exp there and yes we did exp there... but now we have better places in our homelands. So in other words you are saying, since we are smart we are cowards? Sigh..

Don't you think we have better places too? There are no drops in Yggdra! If we want drops we go to Vendo caves. If we want exp we do crabs in Uppland or go to Muspelheim. If we want fun and some RvR expierience we go for Yggdra.

Thats it! Your fresh 30+ do not have a clue about PvP because most of them have never dealt with enemys before when they start participating in RvR. I think most of our 20-25 Middies have allready some realm points and PvP expierience since they go to Yggdra. We do not fear Invaders! We could get better exp and we could get drops but though we are allways there.

Frontier

Ummm Xping in Hibernian frontier is too much of a pain - in 1.36 I would be happily killing my sett younglings when all of a sudden either a) Thing or b) Herrah has hit you for 3x your max Hp would display. So I stopped.

Recently took up XPing in Collory again, soloing the Grovewoods for cash. Still get jumped by middie stealther occasionally, only this time they get to take a dirt nap

Tho prolly coz the toughest one so far conned yellow . . .

But anyway, there are much better places to XP inside Hibbieland now, so why risk being boringly wiped out by some goit and having to make a 10 min horse ride (Collory) or a 5 minute run (Cruachon) when you can fight inside Hibbieland 2 mins from a bindstone and no Purple stealthers to ruin your day?

Well I have RP already at 31. Had rp's since the early 20's... we EXP separately from RvR... but we DO go to RvR. Just that why risk losing exp just so that some damn mid/hib could have fun killing us?

i went to crauchon gorge a couple of times yesterday (being lvl 47 SM) and had lots of fun :)
On my way I ran into 5 green/blue cons, nearly died, was very happy with killing them :D
it may be easy for stealthers, but it certainly isnt for most others.
Then I ran into a yellow druid and killed him also.
Wheres all these greys? :)

I did see a lone green elf near the gate.. I mezzed him (so he couldnt be silly and attack) then bowed and sat next to him. He bowed and sat next to me too, i enjoyed that :)
unfortunately 2 yellow guys ganked me pretty much b4 I could anything.. I would have done the same i guess
