Why not zerg:

You rarely face equal opposition hence it's either you steamroller them or they steamroller you. With 1 or 2 fg you get more even fights. Even fights are fun, uneven fights are not.

DAoC lags like a mofo with a lot of people about.

Well the point I was making on my reply was there should be more communication between everyone, in the RR organised my novamir a few weeks ago, I asked if HoF had been informed (3rd biggest /as) ... erm no. Ok well fine I contact some of the higher lvl peeps in the guild and scratch a group together. Later because everyone was going through the usual crap, I am bored, what are we doing etc everyone just ran off to the relic keep. My group were carrying 3 rams, our druid died (holding a ram) I couldn’t move (without druid STR) other main tank couldn’t move (without STR buff). So I think ok np I will ask in the /cg lo, anyone got a spare STR buff we have 2 rams and no STR buffs. Guess what... no answer. Later we take a quick regroup, btw now half the force that left hpk. "Ok we are sending our bard to rez the druid" then a bit of the usual, i am bored, what are we doing etc... So everyone runs off again. Guess what the result in the RR was, bet you can’t.
It’s the complete lack of communication between the large /as's and vng/LA that is our problem. It’s got to the point where everyone says what’s the point in an RR, we can’t get enough peeps to go etc...I really don’t have a problem with guild RvR that’s what your guilds are for. Its the ignoring everyone else attitude because your so "shit hot" that stinks, you should have the common courtesy to say no sorry guild RvR or something not just run off or whatever.

Why don’t they just get rid of the frontier forts all together (DL etc) and let you go where you want, would be much more fun coming across mids/albs near Mag Mell ... hey wait a minute isn’t that camlyn... I haven’t done much RvR (only RR3) but I am already pretty bored of it. The league tables idea wouldn’t work to well, wouldn’t fit in with the game but more zones maybe some settlements or more shared dungeons would be cool, I personally prefer running battles in DF etc than just running around for ages in Emain and getting zerged. Also RvR will always suck if Goa runs the servers due to the huge lag if more than 10 people are on screen at once.
As if Goa/mythic care what we think anyway they still make their money for sub-standard service. In a years time this game will be completely dead because it is so far away from shaping up against WoW (although I will be avoiding this like the plague, I here Goa are running the servers), SWG, EQ2 or even Dragon empires not to mention Planetside (bit different granted) So stop bickering and enjoy the game as you like while it is still going.

I want mythic to overpower mid and alb so badly that no hibs get outta ligen to rvr.. something like early release when albs were 3x hib numbers and mids were red/purp so only a few of us (hibs) were moving out to fight and we did it all together..

edit: when i say all together i mean wo guild differences.. not all together as in a zerg. Used to run as 3-4 ppl squirmish groups and those times still hold the best rvr encounters i remember.

Groups of lvl 20-30's roaming emain looking for a fight. If you get a lvl 50 in yer group he/she is some kinda celebrity.

Always used to love it when yer group was getting beaten in a fight and a few wandering hibbies would ruck-up and turn the tide.

When rp's didnt mean squat, and no one had any idea why we got bounty points, coz they had no use.

Levelling was a grind, grouping was fun, and rvr was a way to cool off after a few hrs xping. Beating pookhas shitless for an hour then going on a buzz with yer group to find some invaders to kill.

Hunting players like Bee around Colloroy for hours on end.

Hibernia has changed, but its only because the game itself has changed. DAoC aint the same game it was a year ago, its a different kind of game now, targeting different types of players.

i blame it all on the chronicles

before they came into play there was no true "rvr" guilds, but now people want to see themselves/guilds at the top of the lists so a new type of playstlye was created which actually as far as i am concerned made the game worse

99% of albs don't know how to fight at all outside a zerg - all they know how to do is f8 f6 /stick, and no amount of alb loving will change that.

Stormrider I thought you RvR'd a fair bit. Ive bene in emain non stop for the last 3 weeks. Have you seen the number of middies zerging. At 10 this morning I counted 2fg Np runnign with 3fg RG and 1fg randoms. What is anyone supposed t od against that, other then zerge back.

The only guys I dont see zerging is hibs atm.

Mids have been zerging kinda bad in the last month with red guard + nolby pride catching a lot of flak because their cloaks are the most well known, but in the last week number of mids in emain seems to have dropped.

Sure you are right about this. But it's kinda lame imo to do this so the uberequipment longtimeplayers advantage is evened out. I mean you should have a advantage if you are a uberequipment longtimeplayer since you obviosly have spent alot of time to tweak your char.

IG have always been the most helpful rvr guild imo.

But i've changed my perspective since the first post, it's not as bad as i thought.. just can sometimes feel likea bunch of guilds not a realm.

Most of the problems with this game are a direct result of unimaginative and unevolving game design, poor quality programming and engine, lack of proper in-game tools and interface, and a lack of vision and commitment by Mythic.

I had really hoped that in a year they would have continued to improve the basic functionality and various ability trees in the game, but it seems it is not to be

Horizions, DE, and WoW all look promising.

Someone is bound to get it right eventually!

Well imo its really the people that make this game, the only reason i didnt quit in the end. I am part of a small and very friendly (most of the time ) guild, i like it this way because eveyone is their own person and we can pretty much do what we like. If you want RvR you can go and join a group of mixed at DL. i actually find mixed groups more fun than when i have been in a fg of vng or LA (no offence guys) Its just a pain sometimes with the lack of big PvE/RvR raids, you usually have to be in the right place at the right time. There just needs to be more comunication between the GM's of all the guild for when we do need a lot of people to defend or try for a RR.

They realise the futility of trying to compete as a new 50 with RR 5+'s, so they go emain with the fresh scars of being mezzed/stunned/killed over and over and find 40-50 others. They meet some enemy's and kill them, get rp's, get realm abilities etc etc.

If the answer is no..then how do those players expect to get some rp's to get to point where they can compete?

Just wanted to know does Hibs get insta RR5+ ? If so it has missed all 3 of my lvl 50s.

Doubt IG would like being referred to as an rvr guild. It was my understanding that they were a guild who enjoy all aspects of the game.

Agree that they are one of the more helpful guilds in rvr, mainly coz they are made-up of some of the most respected, most experienced and best liked players in the realm.
