44pac 30mend for pac healer
39 mend 37 aug for mend healer

This r the 2 mainstream spec's, there's allso 48pac 24mend but that's just gimped compared to 44pac 30mend

I'm not saying u should use either of these, choose whatever u find right when using a character creater, if u end up with 1 of these don't listen to FOTM and mainstream whiner's they r all moron's who can't see not all choose their class on whatever everyone else chooses ...

Any of the specs above are good viable specs (it's hard to gimp a healer).

The only one I personally would never opt for anymore is the 48pac/ 24mend template. It does have its uses, but in my eyes Pac is a continually nerfed line (not directly, but still the most nerfed line in the game), and whilst it is still a good line to spec in, I wouldn't spec that high because the spread heal in mend is worth far more than the extra range/ length on a frequently resisted/ shortened set of instas and castable forms of CC.

48 pac would leave you as a one trick pony in my eyes. You can't heal very well, you have no self buffs at all, and once CC timers kick in, you can't even CC again (And PoM5 can be achieved with serenity these days). If you want really high pac, I really wouldn't go above 44 (can't say it enough, the spread heal at 30 mend is way too good to miss out on).

My own spec is 33mend/19aug/38 pac: 1st spread heal/ good major heal/ good insta heals/ 1st celerity (awesome for PvE)/ good self buffs and damage shield/ 2nd run speed/ good haste/2 insta AE CC/ Decent castable/ PoC, etc etc etc

The above works very well for myself, but it is a more balanced spec. If you know you're going to be running with another healer frequently, then maybe consider raisinf one line more than another (again, all of the specs in this thread are very very viable for a healer).

If ya looking for cash on Mid/Excal you could talk to Wolverines as we as a guild have got a pb group running on Alb/Pryd which is in desperate need of cash and we've quite a few people would be up for a cash transfer.

Just do a /who Wolverines on Mid/Excal and ask any of us on there or a /who Exiles on Alb/Pryd ;)

48p / 24m is a very specific template. Yes, it is limited, but has its important uses. You have to see how my guild screams in joy when i say "Hi ! Is there place for a healer in guild grp ?".
Heavy pac healer purposes:
1. LEAD THE GROUP. The advantage of mid grp with heavy pac healer as a leader is undeniable. Best possible insta AoE stun and mezz.
2. Regular AoE stun and mezz.
3. PoMed.

You can say that you can do almost the same with 44/30 spec. And you can heal too.
Yes, i agree with you. But in our guild we run healer-heavy groups. 1 heavy pac + 1 or 2 mend specced. So, pac healer rocks in this situation.

Donna, rr5l7 heavy pac healer.

Everyone hates pac healers nowadays :(
go aug and leave us alone..!

I agree with Rei, <sigh> I envy her heals....

but her mezzes will never be good as mine ^-^ <wink>

i see many ppl talking about the 44pac template, and yes I can agree with you that it has its uses. But as donna claims too, for best rvrsetup you want both heavy pac, and heavy mending in one group.

The thing about the insta ae cc at 38,38 in pac, is that its radie is very gimped. When i wasnt 50, but tried out rvr with my healer anyway, i thought it was completely gimped, and it really sucked.
It was very rare you caugt many ppl using your insta ae cc. (ie. radie: 150). When i got the last ones i got satisfied. thats how its supposed to look. the 44pac specc might be better for groups with only one healer imo.

I vote for 44 pac as well, that first spread heal sounds nice to me.

In a pbaoe group u got alot of cloth wearer's hence not many hit's all in all so the more spread heal's u can fire off the more likely u r to survive, id say 44pac rest mend is much better than 48pac in pbaoe group's, and don't whine sm's and other caster's need +5 power regen, not THAT Big a difference it's worth loosing spread heal for ...
